If "Ralph Lauren" is the essence of American style, then, Marcel Rolling, is the living embodiment of the brand throughout the Washington, D.C. area and its suburbs. Marcel is the senior men's sales representative for the "Ralph Lauren" company in its McLean, Virginia location. He is, also, quite simply put, the best and most knowledgeable men's fashion professional with whom I have ever dealt. I have purchased apparel and clothing from Marcel and his team for over ten years. As in any relationship (wife, physician, accountant...), it is trust that counts. In Marcel's case, that trust has been established, over time, through a combination of competence and communication. While Marcel's particular expertise is with Purple Label and made-to-measure, it is his ability to relate to each individual client/customer and provide appropriate advice that rings loudest. I look and feel good in the "Ralph Lauren" brand but it is Marcel who has guided my choices. His professional advice and expertise are the significant discriminators that have caused me to gravitate to the brand. I noticed I was a few steps away and saw them quickly closing the doors with 15 mins still left until they close. The entire time I was in the store I felt rushed and disrespected. I have a huge collection of RL but it was my first time visiting this location and it will definitely be my last. I recommend you stay away from this store and buy elsewhere. I own 3 retail stores inside malls and I wish I recorded my interaction with these terrible associates so I can show my people what NOT to do. It’s really not hard to be polite.
