7-Eleven — Local services in Virginia Beach

The staff’s attitude is very unprofessional — instead of providing decent customer service, they often seem irritated or frustrated, even when you’ve done nothing wrong.

On multiple occasions, I’ve noticed that they project their negative experiences with other customers onto people who come in afterward, which makes the atmosphere uncomfortable.

Rather than greeting you or being helpful, their energy feels dismissive and short-tempered.

Another issue is how they refuse to cook anything overnight.

For a convenience store that’s supposed to be open 24/7, it’s frustrating when the staff acts like doing their job is an inconvenience.

It honestly feels like they don’t care about customer service or their responsibilities during those late hours.

At first I was welcomed with open arms every time that I came in. There is a policy in VA for most 7 Elevens to close down liquor at 12am. They told me that at 11:50pm they stopped serving liquor and locks all doors. When I grabbed my wine bottle it was 11:48. I proceeded to go to the counter and ask if I could pay for it and I was told no with two grins from both of the employees on shift as if they really didn't want to do their job. I then went to the the 7 eleven in VA Beach by Red Roof INN Plus and I was able to purchase my wine there with no problem. I got to the second 7 eleven by 11:50pm. Purchased by 11:53pm. The customer service was horrible. I called because I wasn't sure if I left an item at their store and they weren't willing to help at all.. Because he (James) was "about to get off work" they were lazy, unwilling to help, rude, everything about the conversation was horrible.. Then he hung up on me and when I called back a female (Julie) was just as bad! I understand it's late but there's no need to be nasty...
