If I could give them no stars I would. I walked into the store and it was a friendly environment with lots of options, upo ln checking out the cashier told me my total came to $ 55.48 for 3 things. I asked how and she said the salt water taffy and candy I purchased was $3.49 a pound. After paying I looked at my reciept and noticed a charge for $16.75 for 1.2 lbs of candy. I immediately turned around and walked back in and asked the cashier to explain it to me because i thought i had missed something. She asked me if I ate something or took it my vehicle at which point i told her "NO!, its impossible to be missing that much candy!". She then went and got the other cashier who checked my bag and asked the same qiestion. The cashier Lola then went and got the manager and explained to her what she thinks happened and the manager checked my bag and then had the audacity to try and accuse me of stealing 1.2 lbs of candy. The cashier leaned on the scale prior to scanning and weight my items which would have resulted in the 1.2 lb charge. The manager did not want to give me my money back for something I NEVER purchased. The manager was rude and despite the fact that they had cameras and they could have seen what I purchased, the manager tried to take the cashiers word over mine. They're over-priced and there employees are always right. Moral of it CHECK YOUR RECIEPT BEFORE YOU...
Read moreDear diary, today was a great day at the beach. We had a lot of fun- but it was day two of not being able to find my daughter cotton candy. Tonight we went down the strip to look for some cotton candy and we stumbled upon La La Land Sugar Candy Kingdom. When we walked up they had just closed: doors were locked, lights were already off and the lady was cashing out her register. I knocked on the window and showed her our four-year-old daughter and told her I’ve been trying to get her cotton candy for two days and she was nice enough to help. She went out of her way to let us in, quickly get the goods (pictured- cherry cotton candy, they had other flavors as well!) She also gave us a little gift bags with pink balloons. This is definitely a place you to check out and support. Today was a great day and finished off even better with my daughter happy all thanks to the kindness...
Read moreDon't leave your child in this store. They will lie to your child and tell them, it's only 4$ a pound. Then when it rings up 30 dollars, they'll bully your child into forcing the parent to pay out. I don't raise my kids with freedom on buying anything and a lot of families budget for these vacations. Nasty business predatory moves. Don't you make enough money? That proved to me you do not without having to scam a child. My son had a budget of his own and we spoke before we entered. She basically brought my 10 year old to tears and acted like a snotty teenager. She literally said " what, your parents really aren't going to pay for it" no lady. They had 10 dollars that they each earned. Middle finger to you dear. I found out what really happened after we left. If I had known within that store, I would have thrown all that candy on the floor. Nasty people running...
