I just came for the first time today 9/24/25 at 12:45pm ish to not only return something, but i also thought i might buy something. Since I was returning one item and buying one item, I thought why not kill two birds with one stone and do it at the same Time. I know you wouldâve done the same thing.. That new long line labyrinth is always slowâŚ
So when it was my turn for the 1 item Amazon return- i am standing in between both registers side by side. Amazon register CAC is left and The cashierâs CAC on the right ready to ring me up - I am literally doing a return on the left side while also buying 1 item on the right side. Literally, I didnât have to take any steps. I just had to move my phone from one point of scanning the barcode for return to then tapping my debit card.
The lady who is processing returns today (curly karen) looks like she lives a very miserable life and hates her job. But not only that she was very rude, And in a hateful manner telling me I was not in the right line⌠I clearly I told her hey Iâm doing a return, but Iâm also buying something. Efficiency is key.
Like Iâm gonna stand in one line to do a return and then walk all the way around and get in th labryinth again to wait behind several people with LOTS OF STUFF, just to buy a singular item. Well regardless i am polite and stay quiet and respectful.. she has the audacity to tell the lady behind her that sheâs so sorry about that inconvenience ⌠are you kidding me?! You didnt have to do ANYTHING EXTRA! You just scanned my phone- âbeepâ then hand me the return receipt. It took 26 seconds.. i counted..
If you are going to stand there annoyed and look like you hate every second of every day of your life processing Amazon returns then why are you with customers in front and not somehwere else away from the public⌠them partnering with amazon.. We all know itâs about bringing customers in to buy something while doing a return and I admit i honestly fell for that but as a paying customer as well, not only just to walk in their store utilizing their air conditioning, them doimg all the work packaging it and slapping a sticker on it.. I bought something Which I knewI can just jump on Amazon and buy The same thing for not even half that price⌠its the principle of being respectful and still buy something i dont even need⌠The store had barely a couple of customers, but did have an abundance of employees walking around.

I honestly would rather go take the time to print the label and go buy my own damn box and utilize the other shipping partners we have in town, than go back there and do that. If you wanna be disrespected and embarrassed as an adult from an adult, then go ahead walk or even waltz right in.
This world is so full hate and how hard is it to smile and show someone some kindness because you never know what theyâre going through in the exact moment.. instead, letâs be a Karen and keep the name Karen alive for centuries to come because of that singular employee right thereâŚ

One I was able to switch out because they had the exact same item and another I attempted to trade for an item that cost $3 more... I was willing to pay the extra $3 bit they tried to charge me an extra $10 because of I got a discount in my entire purchase at first. I know this doesn't make sense but if I would have brought everything back, returned it, and re purchased it I would only paid the extra $3... Of course I left without paying the extra because why would I pay an extra $10 for something $3 different after I had to come back because I couldn't try it on in the store. They create a lose lose.
