Saatva — Local services in West Hollywood

What a wonderful experience I have had with SAATVA especially the staff at the West Hollywood showroom. I purchased a new mattress back in July. It’s hard to figure out what works for you when it comes to a mattress, so it’s great that a showroom exists where you can lay down and see for yourself what feels right for you. The place is beautiful and relaxing with nice calm music. You don’t feel rushed by any employee nor are they pushy at all! I made my choice and it took a few weeks to get since they are made when ordered. Delivery was free (but of course, tip!) and they took my old mattress away.

Cut to 3 months later and unfortunately I think I chose a mattress style that was too soft for me. SAATVA has a 1 year trial period so here I was back at the store to plead my case. I F’d up and I need an exchange, and let’s see how friendly everyone is now?

Well I’m here to say, VERY FRIENDLY.

Bill, the manager, greeted me and I explained the situation and he asked me some questions to help define my issues with the current mattress to help guide me to what could be better for me. He did this all with a smile and also genuine care that he wanted to make sure we find a fix. I tried out a few firmer mattresses, and once again I wasn’t rushed, nor did I feel any pressure by Bill. He let me do my thing but was right there if I had a question. I joked, “what if the next mattress I choose doesn’t work” and he said, with a smile, then we will try a different one. :)

Hopefully it won’t come to that. The quality of the mattresses is high on any one you choose. Firm vs soft can be subjective for anyone so getting the one that is right for you can be a bit of a challenge. But to have a company that stands by their product and also their customer is so rare these days! I’m super happy with my experience at this store, with wonderful BILL, and SAATVA as a company. I am hopeful that new mattress will be the right fit for me but also feel in good hands if it isn’t.

We had the classic luxury firm king mattress delivered in 10/25/22. It wasn’t 2 months before we noticed the side I slept on was sinking. I’m 200 lbs so not excessive weight for an adult male. My wife thought putting a topper on it would help but of course it didn’t. She kept insisting the mattress was fine and it was just the topper that was shaping to our bodies. The bed on my side now dips into a well approximately 3-4 inches on my wife’s side and 2-3 inches. We have an island in the sand bar in the middle. I’ve tolerated this bed as best we could living in denial that it’s just the top material and not the actual supports of the mattress.. But once your back and hips start to hurt you realize it’s the mattress that is not supportive. The reason I decided to write this review now is because I experienced some of the best nights pain free sleep while at a hotel this past week. It made me realize how terrible my own. Bed which we paid over $2000 is.

I don’t care about a warranty to replace this mattress because it’s not firm or supportive as claimed. It started to fail soon after we had used it. I would not want this same soft bed. We purchased this mattress because of the excellent reviews on how firm and supportive it is. It’s an absolute disappointment because the mattress became distorted early on and does not deliver the firm support as expected. We are currently searching for a new mattress. After the wonderful sleep experience at the hotel I checked the tag on the mattress to see the brand. The mattress was a Serta 2016 model. Saatva West Hollywood showroom near the PDC is a perfect location to see and try out both beds & mattresses in comfort, thanks to their clean personal safety bed covers. The sales staff is really welcoming, professional & knowledgeable! They are available to answer all your questions about each bed & mattress. They do offer a fabric swatch of each fabric bed frame color in their stores or online which I found most helpful when coordinating colors in a room.

What I really loved most was their staff’s patience, attention to details & their friendly attitudes. Buying a new bed & mattress is hard work, it’s a tough decision that is supposed to last for years. As you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly sales person and welcomed into the showroom. It’s a beautiful brand new showroom, covered with all their mattresses & beds displayed in one location.

There are no high pressure sales tactics here to make your decision quickly. They let you take your time, in fact it took me 2 in-person visits to see my choice of bed, take measurements … and then try out ALL the mattresses as needed to make sure I got the right one…on my deadline. Even with a generous return policy, you want to choose the best mattress for your needs now.

I highly recommend working with the friendly sales staff at Saatva, West Hollywood they make everything so easy, they are really helpful & will answer ALL your questions, and let you experience as many of the Saatva mattress styles as you want to experience.
