I was there in spring with my mother. The food was great and serving as well, BUT everything was spoiled by a inadequate waiter who came up to us when we almost finished our meals and were talking, interrupted us in our conversation without any polite excuse for that, looking directly at me with poker face at me asked whether we enjoyed our meal. I said yes, then he asked to write a review for their place. I said ok, I’ll do that. He continued staring at me in very assertive way moving his eyes to my phone without saying a word making me feel uncomfortable with that and puzzled and after pause said to me: Do it now. I told him that I’ll do that when I’ll have time and wish. And after I finish my conversations with my mother which he interrupted so rudely. To be honest I’m shocked about that assertive behavior when I was so rudely pressed to write a review when HE wanted that. And the way he did that was really psychopathic. Every time I pass this place I still remember that and have no wish to go there again and now, when I REALLY WANT IT and have time- I’m finally writing this review. Please, mind that people come to your place to have nice time, eat delicious food, have private conversations. If you want to remind them to write a review do that in polite way. NOBODY OWE YOU GOOD REVIEWS AND SPENDING THEIR TIME AND EFFORT ON WRITING THEM. It’s a form of gratitude from clients which is free...
Read moreI cannot understand how this place has managed to receive any reviews above 3 stars because our experience was truly disappointing.
Let's start with the service, which was nothing short of appalling. We were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. It took the waiter a staggering 15 minutes just to come and take our order. Even worse, our relatively small order took over 40 minutes to arrive, despite there being few people in the restaurant. To add insult to injury, it took an additional 15 minutes to receive the check.
As we were settling the bill, the waiter gave us a disdainful look, making us feel unwelcome and as if we had offended him in some way. This negative attitude left a lasting bad impression.
Now, on to the food. We decided to try their renowned khinkali, omelette, and grilled vegetables. Despite the restaurant being named "Tumanyan's Khinkali," the khinkali fell far short of expectations. They had an insufficient amount of meat, lacked the flavorful bouillon one would expect, and were surprisingly overpriced.
The only redeeming aspect of our meal was the well-prepared and delicious grilled vegetables.
For those eager to try khinkali, I must advise seeking another dining establishment to avoid a...
Read moreI am so disappointed with this place. Been here many times, always an issue with wait staff. This place has no idea what dairy or gluten allergy is, and what damage it can cause to a person. Waiters are impolite and argumentative. I ordered half portion borscht, picture did not show sour cream, I did tell one of the waiters not to put sour cream, but my borscht came with sour cream. They said by the time I mentioned it was on there, but they removed all they could. Waiter said it’s not a lot it’ll be fine. Argued that I did not mention no sour cream. I argued that why should I, picture did not show sour cream. Not everyone eats borscht with sour cream. Seriously? On top of all that they charged me for 2 borscht. I asked why, they gave me a ran around. Waiter said they didn’t charge and that 1/2 portion borscht costs 3400 dram. I saw with my own eyes on the receipt 2 borscht 1700 dram, totaling 3400. They literally lied to my face. I hope owner or manager of this establishment reads this and trains their employees better. I’d recommend going to Lavash, next door. Way better staff, well trained...
