We were really excited to visit but, unfortunately, left quite disappointed.
The venue itself is stunning, and the views are absolutely incredible—but that’s where the experience ended for us.
The process of getting to the Sky Deck was frustratingly slow due to the large crowds. While I understand the intent of offering a free experience to the public, it ultimately comes at the expense of paying customers. Introducing a small access fee could help manage the flow and enhance the experience. It also felt like the venue was trying to cater to families, but given that it’s primarily a bar & casino the atmosphere would be better suited to an adults-only setting.
Once we finally made it up, getting served was another challenge. The bar staff worked at an incredibly slow pace and seemed unaware of their surroundings, often serving out of order. Their unfriendly demeanor and lack of efficiency made the experience even more frustrating.
For a venue that charges premium prices, the service and overall experience need to reflect that. Better organisation and customer care would go a long way in making this a truly...
Read moreThe Service is absolutely atrocious a lot of young bar staff that should be working at a nightclub. The price of the drinks are astronomical $25 for disgusting cocktail that tastes like you have used rocket fuel cheap vodka and cheap mixers like you would get at a dirty night club and you try to pass them off as cocktails. The whole bar needs to be reviewed and restructured to be more sophisticated get better bar staff and stop being tight arses and pretending you’re using good spirits when we all know your topping up the good bottles with cheap versions. Biggest waste of $50 for myself and my partner to enjoy the view and a disgusting cocktail that we tipped into the garden because they literally tasted like poison! Don’t waste your time I would suggest to go down stairs and have a cocktail at Pompette or Dark Shepherd which mind you are the same price however are delicious, made really well and reflect the price. I suggest Cicadu Blu go downstairs and learn how to make a cocktail with the staff down at those restaurants as they know what they are doing you most certainly do not! WE WONT BE BACK FOR...
Read moreDon't bother. It was impossible to find the "sky bar" from the entrance on George St. There is no one available to tell you how to get there. It took 15 minutes to find the way there. Upon entry, (when we finally found it) there is nowhere to sit. We had to find a drinks menu, but once we got through the 20-30 minute wait for the bar (on a Wednesday) we were told only limited drinks were available (e.g. 8 x sparkling wines/champagne printed on the menu, but only 2 x were available - the cheapest or the most expensive - either an awful Prosecco or a Moet). Everything is served in plastic glasses, regardless of what you order. There are no chairs with backs on them. The toilets are a good 5 mins walk, and not looked after. There is no DOSA (you have to find your way down to the street - which is a 10 to 15 minute journey). There is no cab pick-up rank. I definitely won't be back, and neither will any of the other 15 people I was with. It felt difficult, cheap, dirty, expensive and DEFINITELY...
