A very COVID BIRTHDAY PARTY. We had a party of 15 adults and 5 kids booked for a 60th birthday lunch! When we arrived they stated the booking was only for 15 people. The restaurant could only have 15 of us in one room, 5 of us were excluded. Sadly due to covid restrictions we could not all sit in the one room. 5 of us had to wait outdoors away from the birthday group until we could get another table away from the birthday group. We had to wait for all guests to arrive before any of us cld enter the restaurant and we only had 1 hour sitting time. To be fair, this msg was relayed to the person that booked for our group. The concierge was very stressed and this did not help. Some of the meals and entrees were very small. 2 satay chicken skewers for $15/$16. The waitress said we'd get 4, not to be. Some of the meals were very tasty and nice. We did not know that if you took your own birthday cake you wld be charged $3 per person for each slice of a cake cut at the restaurant as a surcharge. This was a total rip off. Ie 20 pple x $3 =$60 to eat our own cake! So our family only lit the cake for the 60th bday boy to blow out and we chose not to cut it there out of protest! Our kids did not get to at least enjoy that. The food was over priced...for the amount you got. $18 for a Thai green curry sauce with no meat. $6 extra for any meat added. This was in small print on menu after the item advertised and after we discovered there was no chicken in it. Totally disappointing experience for all of our group. Staff were also stressed looking with no smiles or empathy for our situation. Sorry Will never go back! We couldnt even do presentations as a group. In their defence the covid restrictions played a huge part in preventing this. #dont have a...
Read moreThe reviews are in two separate feedback:
First review Nov 2020, there was a promotion price for Star Club member on Teriyaki Salmon Rice and the taste is delicious - good portion and great price.
We also tried the Laab Chicken under Street Food Menu, personally I felt it was a little salty but it goes well with the cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce and beans, good for those who want to cut or reduce carb.
The Vietnamese Iced Coffee taste exactly what we were expected (a little bitter), wish it has less ice in it but the after effect was strong until I can't sleep after drinking at 730pm+ on 17 Nov 2020...... it was 2am on 18-Nov-2020 when I wrote this 😅
Banana Fritters with ice cream are not disappointed, good for 2 person.
I edited the reviews again, since I can only review once. This was about my company Team gathering at Fat noodle in mid December 2020. I contacted Fat Noodle 3 weeks before the lunch date and also sent our orders in advance. On that day we arrived, we waited almost 1 hour before they ordered our drinks and still want us to repeat our food order. Most of my colleagues were unhappy. I have sent in the order 3 days in advance, we were expected the food to be served not too long but over 1.5 hours wait is unacceptable.
Since Fat Noodle was expecting 12 of us, we thought that they will get extra hands to help, but obviously not. There were only two man (Jacky and Brian) and a lady staff in the restaurant. The drinks bar only has one staff. It look like they are really short of staff/wait staff to help.
My colleagues wanted me to give a feedback on this. We were disappointed with the service and some...
Read moreHad dinner here on a Tuesday night with a friend. The food was good! Unfortunately the service was subpar and not what you'd expect from a restaurant with a $$ range of pricing.
I almost felt like I was in a food court with the down lighting and layout of chairs and tables - so that wasn't the best either.
Service was friendly, but unpolished and unprofessional. We ordered 2 entrees and 2 mains, both entrees came out with 1 of the mains and were silently plonked down on the table. My friend has food allergies that the staff knew about so this was a bit confusing and risky to figure out. By the time the second main came out we quickly realised we had not accidentally ordered a third entree and we were in fact sharing my main ahaha. Additionally, we didn't have anyone check on us during our meal; our empty plates sat on the table for about 40 minutes after we finished eating; it was difficult to flag down the waiters for more drinks; and when we requested the dessert menu it never came.
We ended up getting up and paying at the counter to leave once we realised the waiters had kinda abandoned our table (the restaurant was almost empty at this point too).
Normally I wouldn't be so harsh, but it was all just a bizarre dining experience that doesn't align with what you would expect from a somewhat fancy casino restaurant. I felt like I was eating at a Grill'd.
If I were to eat here again I'd be inclined to get takeaway and skip the awkward and inconsistent service....
