We booked the entire Proud Henry Wine Bar & Ginoteca venue for a Saturday night 40th birthday party with 60 guests, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we started organising our party, Coco and Bobby went above and beyond — so welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the night special. Their warmth truly made the experience unforgettable.

The food was next-level: the catering from Germelli’s paired with Proud Henry’s boujee platters hit the mark for everyone — delicious, generous, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere of the venue is just magic — from the cozy cellar room to the charming bar area and gorgeous beer garden, it honestly felt like we’d been transported to a tucked-away gem somewhere in Europe, not smack-bang in the middle of Fortitude Valley.

Highly recommend this place for private functions — the pricing is super reasonable, with everything counting toward your food and drinks tab. Or just swing by for a cheeky cocktail (they’re divine). Five stars,...

I always goto proud henrys when I’m in Brisbane. The staff knowledge of gin is always excellent , and the atmosphere ( day or night) is perfect. Some of my best Brisbane experience s have been at this bar with friends. On my last visit just this week we came at 2pm.( The website says open from 12 each day)The bar was open, although it looked as though it was just open. When I asked if we could come in, the bar girl wanted to know what we wanted? - um? Gin?? We felt awkward, but came in anyways and ordered. The chairs were up on tables, and I asked if it would be ok to take two chairs down for us to use. We were told to sit at a table by the door. So we did. After half hour or so the bar girl then took all the chairs down. The same chairs I asked permission to sit on earlier. The experience felt weird and uncomfortable- like the bar lady really didn’t want us there( despite being polite). Not sure the issue, as the bar was open. Next time if we are made feel unwelcome I will use another gin bar...

We recently hosted our End of Year Party at Proud Henry, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, Rob and the team made us feel incredibly welcome. Their attention to detail and ability to accommodate our group was second to none.

Special kudos go to Coco, Beth, and Spencer, who absolutely held the fort while my team kept the drinks flowing and the energy high. They were attentive, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy ensuring we had the best time.

The drinks? Absolutely divine! Every cocktail and gin we ordered was a testament to the bar’s exceptional quality and creativity. The vibe of the venue was the cherry on top—relaxing jazz beats paired with the cozy old-school pub vibe created the perfect atmosphere for a night of celebration.
