A very unpleasant experience, particularly to do with an Asian female staff with glasses and red dyed hair.
We went to Nandos for dinner as a group of 5, everything was ok to begin with until they brought my meal out and it was ‘hot’ instead of ‘mild’ chicken. I had ordered through the QR code on the tables and had a digital receipt confirming I ordered ‘mild’ chicken. When i brought it up to the female staff she did not believe that i had ordered ‘mild’ and sacarstically said she’d print the receipt until i showed her my digital receipt. She then reluctantly took my plate of food in and brought it out with the same plate and it looked as though they just poured mild sauce on the chicken. At that point maybe i was ok with that and did not want to make any more scene but thing got worse after my mates’ food came out.
Eventually those meals got served and that waitress low-key slammed the plates on the tables. Two of them had to share a meal and one of them asked the waitress as she walked away, “Excuse me, can we have some extra plates?”. She turned around and rudely answered from across the room “I’m getting it, JUST WAIT!”. We were shocked and so were at least 4 other customers seating near us who witnessed the ordeal. After a few minutes, she came back with plates alongside with her attitude and had the audacity to slam them on the tables again.
I love Nandos but i wont be coming back to this one any sooner unless that specific staff got sacked or got put away from us whenever we’re there. Apart from that,...
Read moreI have been a frequent consumer of Nandos along with my friends and family for 2 years and a fan of the unique spicy and smoky flavour of peri peri chicken you just cannot find in any other restaurants until one day when a friend and I ordered two 1/4 mild chicken.
It was quite a surprise, even heart throbbing when the portions between the 2 were vastly different even though we always ordered the same dish ever since. The quarter chicken usually comes in 2 different cuts, the breast with wings and the drumsticks with thighs still intact. Unfortunately, this time I received a measly sized chicken wing while on the other plate lies a perfectly sized chicken breast with wings.
As expected, I complained as politely as I could for a more aptly sized meal to which I faced scrutiny for somehow not understanding that "it's normal when 2 orders of quarter portions have been made, the latter has to receive a smaller portion." It was peculiar hearing that from a greasy overweight lady who god knows how fast she could have smothered half of that chicken that I had paid for with blood, sweat and tears. Am I stopping everyone from ever visiting this place, absolutely not. I am all for fairness and customers first policy, So if you are considering stopping by this particular restaurant or any other Nandos in the world let this predicament be a reminder to ensure you enjoy a great meal that we all love and recognise as Nandos....
Read moreUnfortunately, our experience at this Nando’s branch was very disappointing. The attitude of two staff members was cold and unwelcoming, and we felt a clear difference in how they treated us compared to other customers. One of them, who seemed to be the manager, was smiling and laughing with others, but was overly serious with us and even claimed she couldn’t understand us — despite us speaking clearly. Her responses felt dismissive and unkind, making us feel like we were a burden.
The other staff member, who took our order, didn’t acknowledge our smiles or attempt to engage in any friendly interaction. She simply wrote down the order in a formal, cold manner. We came to enjoy our time and food, but were instead met with an unfriendly and uncomfortable atmosphere — very unlike what we’re used to from Nando’s.
This kind of behavior does not reflect the warm and inclusive environment Nando’s is known for. We left feeling disappointed and unwelcome.
One star, with the hope that all staff are reminded to treat every customer with respect, kindness, and the same level of...
