No customer interaction due to the business Model - That’s fine. But where it went wrong here is that when I approached the staff member closest to the front counter to explain that the food prepared (custom Yiros) was horrible, cold & a complete mess from a meal assembly perspective, she turned to me & said ”oh well sorry but I didn’t make it”. This is most unacceptable no matter the circumstances.
Instead of layering in the fillings in a careful & responsible manner, the bread & fillings were dropped into a foil lined bag. Something like a deconstructed version, just dropped first or maybe just being swept into a bag.
The protein fillings were generally refrigerated temperature aside from a few pieces which weren’t cold nor heated to a safe temp for consumption.
I added in a handful of extras onto the standard yiros & a small meal with chips & a drink cost $40. I nearly choked. But I felt convinced in my thought it would be money well spent if the meal was amazing but that was far from the case.
I wouldn’t find myself returning here again after the experience I had which is upsetting.
You guys need to look at better standards of food monitoring & meal assembly to determine what is & is not safe / suitable for serving to your customers. Sending anything you like out over the counter just to keep people moving on away from the front of the store is the wrong metric for great outcomes.
I hope that you seek real world solutions to prevent poor customer experiences...
Read moreService: I’ve been a Yiros lover for about six years. The service has always been professional at the South Bank shop. However, my recent experiences have been very disappointing. There is a woman, who might be the night shift supervisor, that knows nothing about customer service. Six months ago, I saw her for the first time in the shop. I asked her to change something in my order, and she gave me options to choose from. When I made my choice, she rudely said “no” 😅. Just an hour ago, I went to pick up my order. She was handing out orders with a very rude expression, as if she was disgusted. I waited more than five minutes while my order sat ready on the counter. I suggest this person work in the kitchen and not interact with customers.
Cleanliness: I found something in my food that looks like hair. I’m not sure what it is. You can see it in the photos.
Food: The traditional Yiros chicken is the best. The new pulled beef does not taste good and seems out of place on the Yiros shop menu. The new Yiros is not consistent with the current menu.
Parking: Street parking.
Vibe: Good vibe, and they recently created an indoor...
Read moreI've been to "The Yiros Shop" multiple times and have been charged different amounts for the same order - Haloumi Combo. I brought this up to the staff member who had over charged me by $20 and he then gave me the wrong amount back. I was then told to wait for my food, which is always delicious and fast, but, upon waiting for my food, my friend and I spotted a live cockroach crawling along the glass of the bench. This absolutely disgusted me and I will no longer be purchasing from this establishment. I have never tried "Zeus" across the road, but it is supposedly as good as 'The Yiros Shop" and cheaper. There is also one particular staff member who has been rude to me when I asked him for the correct change. I am a school-aged student, and when ordering my food, I was not offered a student discount for two days in a row even though I was in my obvious school uniform. This concerned me even more when a different staff member served my friend and she was offered a student discount - she was wearing the same thing as me. Overall, there are some rude and uneducated staff members who make it difficult to...
