I'll start with a positive and say my 15year old rated her crispy chicken Burgers the best she'd eaten in a long time, however, Unfortunately for a "high end steak restaurant" that's about as far as the skill set went.
I was EXTREMELY let down and disappointed by our experience and wish i read google reviews rather than going off a Instagram video review that had me so excited.
After a 12hr day we drove 1hr for a date night and I could have gone to a local pub and had a better steak for a fraction of the price.
My partner is purely carnivore so ordered the 250g Japanese wagu mb7 9+ for $135 and the 28 day dry aged wagu for $89 both steaks were covered in a hickory sauce prior to cooking which was not stated on the menu at all Japanese wagu did not taste like the quality that was suggested, was over cooked, was overpowered by hickory sauce and was very disappointing. 28day dry aged wagu was burnt to a crip on the outside, actual charcoal in places, rare inside with overpowering flavours of hickory sauce and charcoal all the way through. Was uneatable and wasn't finished. black onyx scotch fillet wagu actually didn't have hickory sauce on it however was flavourless, over cooked and unevenly cooked. I only at half of it.
Our dinner reservation was at 7pm and when we ordered at 7:30pm they said they had run out of Roasted potato so only hot chips and mash were on offer. The chips were yummy but you couldn't eat many, they tasted like the oil was very old in the deep fryer.
The garlic prawn entree was yummy.
While we we were waiting we had a view into the kitchen and could see potato being cut up and prepend so am unsure if they just struggled to manage thr flow correctly. We also seen on of the "chefs" messaging on his phone and laughing for over 5mins (my hungry teenager was timing him because she was waiting for her dinner)
If my partner and daughter weren't with my I would have complained and not paid for the entire bill as it was a complete let down. I was genuinely sad about the poor quality of food and by the time we got home. My partner and I both felt unwell.
The service staff were lovely however the quality of meat being used and the skillet of the people cooking it do not match the prices.
Would strongly discouraged this restaurant if you're wanting a high quality, authentic steak house experience.

Read moreUnfortunately very disappointed in our experience here. Online presence seemed very flash, in person was like a derailed roller coaster. When we first arrived we were completely ignored by two staff standing directly in front of us while we stood at the wait to be seated sign. One staff eventually asked if they can help and when I said I had a booking, had to go and grab someone else to help. Eventually we were seated towards the back of the room where it was very hot, they had portable fans around to help but it was very uncomfortable the whole night. We had a table of 10 people and we all ordered through the QR code at similar times (Also if you make a mistake on the app you can’t delete an entry you have to reload the whole order and start again) Our meals came out ridiculously spaced out from each other, the last meals arriving 20-30 mins after the first to come out. That’s after waiting 20-30 mins for our first meals to arrive. The 1kg rump was cooked well, tasted fine but presented terrible, the potato side was yummy. The chicken burger was not worth the price, chicken was cooked well and had a good flavour but as flat as a pancake and hardly had anything to it. The tomahawk steak was undercooked and almost blue (ordered medium) and was asked to be sent back to cook more but they threw it out by mistake. This was chased up so then proceeded to bring out the thinnest pieces of steak, not a whole steak to apologise, 3 random chopped up pieces, a refund was requested and eventually provided for this. Also, the chimichurri Sauce?? It was like a curry and spicy, definitely was nothing like chimichurri..? I can’t really comment on all the food, the ribs were apparently cooked well and were yummy but most people who ordered the steaks all said they tasted fine and were cooked well but nothing to rave about for the price they charge for them. They did not clean off our table all night and we had to ask for the plates to be removed to make some room as the tables were small. Overall this was not worth the prices they put to the meals, you can get better food at your local pub for half the price, and I’m sure better...

I recently visited a new smokehouse restaurant for my son's birthday celebration, and while our experience had its ups and downs, there were some highlights that stood out.
Upon arrival, we faced a bit of confusion with our booking. Somehow, our reservation was mixed up with another location of the same restaurant, which led to a frustrating start. After a few minutes of back and forth, we were finally seated, but it was a stressful beginning to a special occasion.
As we settled in, we were eager to dive into the menu. However, I was disappointed when my drink order came out incorrectly—not what I had selected. This added to the feeling that we were off to a rocky start.
To make matters more complicated, one of the dishes that the restaurant is famously known for was not available that night. Given that I had been looking forward to trying it, this was a letdown. We ended up being offered another more expensive dish for the same price, but we could not shake the feeling of disappointment.
On a brighter note, the staff went above and beyond to make my son's birthday special. They surprised him with a complimentary dessert, which brought a big smile to his face. It was a sweet gesture that truly made his day memorable. Additionally, we appreciated the discount they provided, which softened the earlier frustrations and showed that they valued our experience despite the mishaps.
In summary, while the service was a bit chaotic and several items fell short of our expectations, the kindness of the staff, particularly towards my son, turned our experience around. I’d be interested in returning to give the restaurant another try, hoping for a smoother experience next time around. Here’s to hoping they get the kinks sorted out because the potential is...
