You better check your freedom of speech and expression at the door here they play by their own rules and that includes just making them up as they go and in no way does it reflect the democratic constitutional monarch to which the laws of our land are written but don’t worry about small details like that. Small average beers at a large price 😉 hell yeah! You have the wrong political views or have served in the military you best not let big red the manager hear you as she will go out of her way to create a fictional scenario to then have you banned for 6 months! Assaulting people by physically forcing them out the door is illegal people as is lying about what patrons have/have not done like false police reports saying they patrons you mistreat are a safety issue, naughty naughty! This is the product of the arts and humanities section of Notre Dam University churning out a bunch of arrogant, condescending, lying, disrespectful hospitality employees who deep down realise they’re absolutely nothing in life and serving over priced drinks to fellow hipster douche bags is the pinnacle of their existence and abilities, it’s all down hill now guys. But hey you can’t be to rough on them still living at home with their parents with $50,000 HECS debt in a field that’s meaningless and has no career opportunities. The lesson here kids is being a progressive intolerant liberal will transform you into an insufferable loser to which you’ll accomplish...

Terrible experience, and the staff were rude. The bartender apparently was on his last shift and accused us of being intoxicated but still served us.... And when we asked why he is serving us, he said “I shouldn’t be” then he charged us for the most expensive wine( $13:). we asked for a slice of orange, he refuses and said they don’t have it - when it was clearly on the back shelf. We paid for the drinks and stayed for a bit. But the vibe and the look on the bartender was horrible - we all felt uncomfortable. the group of us work in a hospitality and we know what it felt like to have a bad day and we have apologised to him but he just turned his back and said nothing.... one of our girl spoke to the supervisor but he did not take noticed about our experience in the bar as the bartender was his friend, therefore he did not discussed the conversation that I had with the manager about the bartender who served us but instead they laughed and smiled because they were close friends... Soon after they turned off the song just to kick all the customers out and didn’t warn us for the last drinks....

Extremely disappointing experience.

Hung out there for a little bit of food and drinks to watch a fringe show up there on friday. Enjoyed the show, but what a horrible room - hot as balls and the aircon might need re-gassing or replacement. Everyone was uncomfortable. The performers were also visibly quite upset and apologetic about it.

Drinks are definitely watered down, too, and overpriced... the food was, just ok. There is nothing to write home about.

We used to go here a couple of years ago as a regular night out, when it used to be a cool pub with loads of character and good drinks. Spoke to one of the staff, and they said there's new owners who are just trying to cash grab and do everything on the cheap. Pity. There are a lot more places around Freo that have a better vibe and better drinks. Save your money and go elsewhere. Support businesses that care about their...
