Had lunch at CafĂ© Madeleine and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. My wife ordered the mushroom and halloumi eggs Benedict on an English muffin, while I went with the meatball sub (a recommendation from the owner). Both dishes were absolutely deliciousâmy sub was packed with flavour, the meatballs cooked perfectly, the marinara sauce rich and tasty, and the roll itself just spot on. My wife also said her dish was really yummy and hit the mark.
What really stood out though was the service. The front-of-house manager (and one of the owners) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She even remembered me from my first visit a week earlier when I had the Croque Madame (which was so, so good itâs the reason I brought my wife back). The chef, who is also an owner, came out for a chat tooâwe ended up bonding over both being new parents, which just added such a personal and authentic touch to the experience.
CafĂ© Madeleine isnât just serving great foodâitâs run by people who genuinely care about their guests. A warm, welcoming cafĂ© with amazing food and even better people. Absolutely no hesitation giving this place...

Cafe Madeleine is such a warm and welcoming little spot! Itâs family-owned by the sweetest couple, and you can really feel the love in both the food and the vibes. đ
I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and iced tea â sooo good! The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was fresh and buttery, and everything was plated beautifully.
And letâs talk about the coffee â itâs brewed differently from other cafĂ©s, and you get to pour your own milk! Such a cool and personal touch that makes the experience even more special.
The space is bright and cozy, perfect for a catch-up with friends or just a peaceful solo brekkie. Everyone is so friendly â you feel like part of the family the moment you walk in.
âš If you're looking for a local cafĂ© that serves amazing food, proper coffee, and genuinely lovely service â this is it! Highly recommend...
Read moreI was wandering around surfers looking for lunch and stumbled on this place. Then I read all the local reciews about the great service and amazing food - they were all correct. It's an outstanding little local cafe/restaurant. I ordered off the specials board and went with the steak frites (at the recommendation of the server) and it was one of the best steak frites I ever had. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, a good size and tender. It also came with cherry tomatoes on the vine which were perfectly cooked (along with the usual fries). The service was very welcoming and hospitable, and very good prices (the steak frites was only $25, and everything else on the menu was generally
