Been going here for years with my wife. Recently came for dinner with our 1 year old son as well, since we were close by. To say they were unaccommodating would be an understatement. We ordered two adult pasta dishes, garlic bread and three drinks. Roughly $65 worth... We then politely asked if we could get just the meatballs without the pasta for our son. "We can't serve it without the sauce" was the answer my wife got at first. We said that's fine, we just don't want the pasta as he will only eat the meatballs on their own. "You'll still have to pay $24 for the dish" was their response. This is a restaurant that literally makes every pasta dish from scratch, it would have taken zero extra effort to serve the meatballs on their own and discount it slightly. I would have happily still paid $20 without the pasta... And I almost just paid the full price since my son was hungry. But their attitude simply made it seem as though we weren't welcome there. So we put the drinks back in the fridge and went elsewhere. Never to return again. The food is great at Oppy's, never had a bad meal there. But their...
Read moreMy parents and I came here for some takeaway tonight. I ordered the pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with the white sauce and added chicken and sun-dried tomato. It was absolutely top-tier. My mum got a pasta she can’t remember the name of in Rose sauce and it was beautiful as well. Dad got fettuccine in a tomotey sauce with olives and chorizo, and he said it was great. The waitress was friendly and Bubly, and gave good suggestions. The atmosphere is good, I like the quirky ‘It is time for wall’. The interior is on the small side but it was fine for us as we got take away anyway. The only reason we didn’t give it a 5/5 was because it was a bit on the pricey side. For our three pastas, a garlic bread and one lemon-lime bitters it cost $102.
Other than that, couldn’t recommend Oppy’s enough! So so good, I’m hungry again just...
Read morePasta's may not be my favourite cuisine but despite that, you could really sense the high quality pasta and ingredients Oppy's Pasta use. A wide variety to chose from, and you could also make their own. Staff were very polite as well. But, that being said, the pasta's can have a stronger flavour, I opted for the rose sauce, the taste was a bit shallow. That can also be said for the garlic bread, has a very mild garlic flavour which can be more concentrated. Price is on the higher side as well. About $100 for two people. While it is very well decorated interiorly, their shop is a bit small, good for 2-people but certainly would be small for larger gatherings, but it's not their fault. Just my personal preference...
