Trying the all you can eat seafood hotpot (without knowing that it is specifically said "seafood"). It has some other stuff that is not seafood, so it is fine! $55pp, with beers or something will be $65pp i think. If you are a student with ID $50pp
Entree : Deep fried wonton, cooked prawn, salmon sashimi, and spicy chicken
Main buffet : Veggie : radish, chinese cabbage, water spinach(?), mushrooms, corn Meat & seafood : There is not much to choose, but they have fish, scallops, and squid. And they have pork, lamb, beef, and chicken. 2 kind of meatballs as well. Noodle : sweet potato noodle, egg noodle, rice noodle, udon Soy product : hard tofu, japanese tofu, beancurd (idk the exact name but it is the smaller cut wet beancurd) Etc : mini wonton, duck blood
Dessert : ice jelly, milk custard, herbal jelly, sago, melon, orange
Drinks : plum tea, hojicha, fat burner greentea(?), juices
The soup taste bland, so this is the type of hotpot that we need to dip the food into the sauce, which I don't prefer because I'm huge fan of malatang instead. Hehe However, it is a good experience! Recommended for seafood lover or one that love to mix sauces to their liking!
And the dessert is really good! Milk custard is the sweetest of all, it is delicious Ice jelly is slightly sweet, it is delicious too! Herbal jelly is not sweet, the lady recommend to mix it with the sago. And dont worry if it is not sweet enough, they have syrup...
Read moreI don’t normally write review but this one was so exceptionally bad that I feel I am obligated to inform other potential diners.
Staff: A female manager was rude and loud as soon as she found out we couldn’t order seafood (due to allergy). She then kept pushing us to order more and bigger portion until I eventually felt embarrassed in front of my guests and finally gave in. In the end it was too much food for and left wasted.
Food: The fried noodle we ordered was very salty, and because of the rude treatment we received from manager earlier, we didn’t complain fearing we would get embarrassed again. The Peking ribs were cheap quality as most of the meat was too fat to be consumed.
Service: We requested all the main dishes to be served 10 minutes apart and got rejected. At the end most dishes served at the same time except the last 2 dishes we had to wait for a long time. Waiters mysteriously piled up our bowls and left it in the middle of the table (when no soup was ordered). Just as well we checked for the invoice otherwise we would have paid for tea we didn’t order.
Verdict: Most of these Aquarium Live Seafood restaurants are extremely prejudice on the dishes diners order. They recommend the most expensive dishes on their menu and embarrass the host in front of guests if they don’t order the dishes recommended. Dragon Palace is no expection, and I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreWe made a booking for a birthday lunch. We arrived, and a server took us to a table and didn't care that we had a reservation. We were given a dirty table that hadn't been cleaned or prepared even though there were empty tables, cleaned and ready everywhere.
They quickly gave us plates and walked off without saying anything. We weren't given any menus or asked about drinks or given the slip for dim sum. We then waited almost 20 minutes for a server to come past and check up on us and offer some dim sum. She had to go get us a slip as there wasn't one on the table. After that, we waited another 20-30 minutes to be approached/ served, and we had to ask for menus and drinks ourselves after flagging down a server. The owners briefly stopped by but quickly left when they noticed how annoyed my parents were. However, they were too occupied talking to staff and giving completely different treatment to other customers compared to us.
We had high hopes, we loved this place when it used to be dragon palace, and we used to frequent this location all the time. However, since the change over moon flower isn't even living up to half of the standard of what dragon palace was. And I'm not surprised to see how empty it was.
Service was the poorest I've seen in a long time. And we may certainly won't be back after...
