Used to be my husband’s favourite place for a good roast dinner but after tonight, we won’t ever be returning. Roast duck and BBQ pork were super dry and hard, clearly resembles the quality of meat that’s been reheated several times. Owner insisted it’s always been that quality and no offer of any options nor apology until we ask if they are going to offer any options, ended up returning the 2 dishes. Hot & sour soup was really sour, sizzling Japanese tofu had such burnt egg underneath which tasted so bitter. Peking spare ribs was the only right dish for the evening. We observed every single table getting serviced with a plate of fruit at the end of the meal except for us (since we returned the 2 dishes?). Upon paying bills at the counter, I had the evil eye stares from every single person behind the counter which was absolutely disgusting form of service. The staff with the chef hat (possibly the owner too?) even shouted out to other staff in Chinese in an unfriendly manner “have they paid already?”… even though I stopped right in front of the counter waiting for a staff to show me our bill. To top off the horrendous experience, my husband even witnessed a kitchen staff WITH gloves on, walking from the kitchen to the toilet, trying to avoid touching the door while wearing gloves. Absolutely poor standard of hygiene!! I am afraid you’ll have to go and dine at...

After touching down in Perth, my friends, my wife and I come to this restaurant for a dietary quick fix. The roast duck hung behind the shop front window look appetising.
We are interested in just a quick lunch, so the tanks of fish and lobster do not mean anything to us.
There are not many people, so our food order comes out fairly quickly.
The roast duck is meaty, but the sauce poured over the rice is sweet.
The Salted Fish, Chicken Fried is a bit ordinary, I cannot find any salted fish, and therefore the rice does not have the distinct flavour.
The Seafood, Flat Ruce Noodle with Smooth Egg Sauce. The noodle is fried with very high heat until it achieves Wok Hei.
I overhear the conversation of the staff, and I believe the cook/chef does come from Hong Kong.
The prices are very reasonable. In short, it is value for money.
PS. Hours later we had the meals, we were very thirsty. I think the food was cooked with very generous dose of MSG or similar...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences of my life here and wish we called the cops to properly serve justice to the negligence of the business as the owner was there enabling it. 19th March. Upstairs of restaurant was closed off and turned into a smoking den. We sat downstairs and just as the food came out a guy clearly drunk came down yelling at another group whilst holding a large blue label Johnny walker bottle. The women at the table could not relax and eat so we packed up the food as quick as we could to get out there as this person kept pouring people shots and yelling at the top of his voice whilst overly drunk. Wait staff refused to do anything. We refused to pay and owner defended this behaviour as he was sitting at the table. Like I said I wish I got the cops inside to witness this sheer insanity. Signed affidavits are with the liquor licensing department for this breach but the owners defence of this makes this place somewhere to avoid forever. (14 year customer and will...
