If you have a craving for chicken and in particular wings, I would recommend coming to El Camino on a Wednesday which is when they have 10 cent wings. I heard that the restaurant can get really busy on Wednesdays. We didn't have a booking but we were very warmly welcomed from the front and given a table. The restaurant is quite big and has indoor, outdoor and bar seating. I really liked the service during our visit. We had a friendly greeting from the very beginning. We were shown to our table by a waitress who explained the ordering process and how to get 10 cent wings. You scan the QR code at your table and have to order any drink. You are able to have up to 20 wings per drink. Throughout the night numerous waiters approached our table asking if we were ok and needed anything else. Staff were upbeat, friendly and helpful. The kitchen was really busy cooking wings. The wings were saucy and tasty. There is a variety of different sauces to choose from to go on your wings. Between the hours of 4pm and 6pm it is happy hour and there is a free nacho bar! Drinks start from $7. It does seem a bit expensive but the drink is quite large. If dining as a larger group, I would recommend booking in advance. El Camino creates and maintains a fun vibe. I am keen to return!

Well, it’s certainly a party! Loud and festive. Large drinks. Neon and brightly lit. 20-somethings sipping Gigantic margaritas. You know those types of Mexican restaurants that offer the big sombreros at the table, and everyone puts them on. Patrons are there to eat, but also to drink… a lot. If you love those places, you will love this restaurant. We knew it was going to be this type of atmosphere when we came in, and, in fact, these places have their place. The vibe, the energy, the people, the loudness! It’s really fun to soak all of that up. This type of place provides a certain type of energy that is really refreshing and rejuvenating. So the vibe was not why we have a three star rating. The three star rating comes from the food and drink. I ordered the burrito, with the confit mushrooms. I was wondering what they were going to do with “confit” with a mushroom, because confit is a method of slow cooking meat in its own fat, and mushrooms don’t really have fat, so did they roast them slowly in oil? If so, the mushroom should’ve had a deep, earthy sweetness. They did not taste slow- roasted. They didn’t taste particularly different, just like sliced mushrooms. The burrito was… OK. It wasn’t really good; it certainly wasn’t great, so a rating of three seems appropriate in this context. My husband‘s tacos were also… Good. Not excellent. Not great. He ordered three different ones, and he said they were all OK. Hence the three star food rating. I ordered the really large Margarita with the Grand Marnier on top. And it was mostly a big cup of ice. And there was no Grand Marnier taste to be found anywhere. It just tasted like lime and tequila. I had heard this was the best margarita in town, and it was really underwhelming. Also three stars. So overall, fun atmosphere, but the food and drink really lowered my rating to a three. Also, my husband‘s tacos arrived well before before my burrito. I told him to go ahead and eat because they were getting cold, but he wanted to wait. We flagged down our server who said that the kitchen was behind. We continued to wait and I told him to go ahead and eat. And then he looked around and found we had no napkins and silverware, so we had to flag somebody down for that as well.

Step right up to the Greatest Rita Show... Enjoy El Camino Cantina's NEW Puffy Tacos while you indulge on 6 new limited edition funhouse Rita flavours including: Cream’n Soda, Sour Lemonade, Bubblegum, Sour Grape Cloud, Cherry Bomb and Chilli Triple Buttered Popcorn🍿 My favourite was the Chilli Triple Buttered Popcorn, as it was like nothing I have ever tasted before. Each Rita contains new Drunken Bears 🧸 that may look cute but are infused and injected with tequila and Grand Marnier. Puffy Taco shells are puffed to perfection, not to mention the flavour is incredible and so much lighter than the traditional Taco shells. TACO-O-M-G definitely stole my heart ❤️. To finish off the perfect night out, Banana fritters in Southern-style dough and drizzled with gooey butterscotch and sweet cream sauce and powdered sugar... drooling yet! The only place to be this Easter, launch parties kick off at select locations on 22nd and 23rd March. @elcaminocantina 18 Argyle St, The Rocks NSW 2000

Quite easily the worst customer experience I've ever received. 1) They took more than 30 minutes to bring each round of drinks 2) Our table was filthy dirty 3) Our table was asked to leave as there was another reservation, which is reasonable and fair but management's attitude was abrasive, rude and totally out of line. The management had my table escorted out by security on the basis of us having had "too much to drink", which was a total loud of rubbish. It was more a case of a small man on a power trip, wanting to throw his authority around. 4) I had already bought a round of drinks at the time we were asked to leave. I was told that my refund would be paid to me in 5-7 working days. So, the customer (me) has to be inconvenienced and not paid back immediately, for errors done by the restaurant itself. UPDATE: I have still not been paid back by this restaurant. I recommend staying away from this one. The area has many, much better options for a fun day/night out at The Rocks

came here for my hen's night for a dinner and drink with my girls in February 2022. the food and margaritas were quite nice, the size of the margarita was bigger than my head, it was delicious. i liked the sombreros and the vibes in there. only downsides were the very long queues, when you make a booking, expect to get in there an hour later; just because you booked at 7pm, doesn't mean that your table is reserved by 7pm and you get to cut the queue, nah nah you still gotta line up homie lol. and it can be too noisy in there, you can't really hear each other so it gets annoying if you wanna have a chat, you gotta yell at each other. another downside is also the the high prices for the food and drinks, be prepared to pay, but then again you are at the rocks. other than that, pretty cool place.

Went here on a Sunday night and was craving for some good Mexican dish. We ordered the fajita combo anticipating for a tender and delicious dish. It’s disappointing to say, we did not get the value of what we paid for . As communicated to the manager that the meat tasted dry most esp the chicken. We orders for extra Mexican rice and beans —Tasted like frozen pack meal. Heated up in the microwave. Lacking of flavour and texture. The manager and crew were receptive enough to acknowledge the feedback- offered us churros on the house . In our opinion, the only satisfying thing we had on this dining. The atmosphere was great and again, service was good, crew were friendly. We have requested to swap the red sangria to an apple cider as it tasted too strong to our liking. - many thanks!
