Matsu Yakiniku BBQ — Restaurant in Sydney

Our family has enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but unfortunately, our most recent visit was disappointing due to the behavior of one particular waitress. Her demeanor was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude, creating a noticeably uncomfortable atmosphere during what should have been an enjoyable outing.

There were several small but surprising moments that reflected this attitude. For example, she repeatedly slammed the butane gas doors, which initially seemed accidental, but we noticed her doing this at other tables as well. When my wife politely requested a fuller bottle of sauce, the waitress brought one with even less sauce and curtly remarked, “It’s the same!” in a dismissive tone. A light-hearted comment about the English term for a bib was met with unnecessary condescension, as she insisted it was an apron. Later, when my wife lightly touched the table tablet, the waitress sharply admonished her with, “That’s for buffet, don’t touch!”—a comment that could have been delivered far more kindly.

In contrast, the other staff members were friendly and professional, which made the stark difference in service even more apparent. While we understand that everyone can have an off day, the waitress’s behavior significantly impacted our experience, leaving us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable during what should have been a pleasant meal. We hope this feedback helps the restaurant ensure that all customers receive the warm, respectful service they expect...

this is always family 1st choice for Korean fried Chicken in the last couple years even during Covid, until today...the entire family felt extremly disappointed with the take away, firstly seafood pancake is not crispy anymore, the dipping sauce is halved and, this was picked up by my 12yrs old! secondly, small chicken used to be half chicken which is a decent amount, however it has been made to all chicken wings, 60-70% are mid wings, significant reduction in amount. 3rdly, sauce used to be excessive, however it seems only few drops of sauce today, barely taste anything. 4thly, no more kimchi, radish, other stuff for take aways. It is hard to believe that the place became so disappointing, family has decided to find alternatives next time.

There's a menu pasted near the entrance and says they have lunch and dinner. When I arrived here lunch time they told me they don't provide lunch anymore. OK, fine, so I back to here at dinner time, and you told me you don't accept one person. Alright, I am not first time have dinner here and I don't know what happened with your place, but at least it used to be a good place. Maybe I can suggest you paste another notice near the entrance with "ONE PERSON? PLEASE GET OUT!" on it. On the other hand, I can spend $60 for better foods than here in this region.
