Normally this Dome is my go to when I'm completely indecisive on lunch. We'll today I lucked out big time. Ordered from the seasonal classic menu; Satay Prawn Tacos and what came out I can only describe as a severly low res version of their marketing brochure.
The tortilla are a stale, tasteless 2D version, the corn is brown (when marketing brochure shows it as yellow), the prawns are half cold half luke warm, the satay sauce is basically non existent, there is a random splashing of crushed peanuts that look like it's better suited to a banana split. The standout hero of this dish was the saltless chips which I am glad I substituted out during ordering as I don't think the onion rings would have been half as good judging by the rest of the dish.
The only authenticity I think I'll get from this meal is the 'street food effect' that usually comes from the instant regret you get after making a questionable lunch choice down a questionable alley in a questionable part of a questionable Mexican city.
Even as I sit here writing this review I can feel my stomach beginning to turn upside from the half a taco I was brave enough to consume. I fear it will gonna be a long day locked in a small cubicle.
All for the princely sum of 26bux. No...

Dear Management,
I recently visited your café, drawn by the many positive reviews and your beautiful location. However, I felt it was important to share some feedback from my experience, as it fell short of expectations.
I ordered a large strong flat white (three shots), but the coffee was unfortunately very bitter—perhaps due to double extraction from the same grounds. I also requested scrambled eggs soft and runny with crispy bacon, but received overcooked eggs and burnt bacon instead.
When I asked for some tomato ketchup, I was told to fetch it myself from the shelf, which was surprising given the usual level of service I associate with establishments of your reputation.
Throughout, I remained courteous and respectful, but felt that the attention to detail and level of care did not match the standard I had hoped for.
While the setting is undeniably lovely, I believe that consistent service quality and attentiveness to customer requests are key to maintaining a loyal clientele. I hope this feedback is helpful, and that it may support continued improvement....
Read moreI recently had breakfast at Dome Cafe in Perth, and it was an excellent experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. The breakfast menu had a great variety of options, catering to all tastes. I opted for the zucchini and corn fritters, while my companion chose the big breakfast – both were absolutely delicious! We also shared a plate of waffles, which were a real treat.
The fritters were crispy on the outside and soft inside, packed with fresh zucchini and corn, and beautifully seasoned. They were served with a light salad and a perfectly poached egg on top, making for a wonderfully balanced meal. The waffles were golden, fluffy, and served with a generous helping of fresh fruit and syrup – the perfect sweet addition to our meal.
The portion sizes were generous, and the coffee was also superb – smooth, full-bodied, and exactly what I needed to start the day. The service was quick, even though the cafe was fairly busy at the time, and everything arrived fresh and hot. Highly recommended for a delicious...
