Ma Makers Cafe — Restaurant in Salzburg

Probably the best hot chocolate in Salzburg. I’m not a big fan of coffe, hence I always order hot chocolate, and having accepted the fact that I’ll never get the Spanish hot chocolate version in Salzburg (the thick one), I’m becoming a master of hot chocolates around the city. Unfortunately, they are usually too milky or watery, and I always have to kindly ask the staff to add more chocolate powder on it. However, Ma Makers hot chocolate taste was amazing and flavoured!

Regarding food: My friend ordered the basque cheesecake which I also tried, and taking into account I’m Spanish (like the origin of this cheesecake) : I didn’t really like it. Taste is quite ‘plain’, texture is ok-ish; it does not taste like the real basque / de la viña cheesecake (more cheese intense and creamy texture). Nevertheless I’d say it was ok-ish for being in Austria or for someone who has never tried the original Spanish basque cheesecake version.

I ordered a cinammon pastry with Earl Grey cream on top and although I found it was a bit dry, the taste overall was really good (love cinnamon).

Customer service is really terrible here, I had the most unpleasant and disturbing experience. I had just sat down at a free table on the terrace only to be told a few minutes later that it was reserved because someone from inside wanted to sit outside on the terrace. I find this very rude and you have just lost me as a customer.
