We recently had the pleasure of attending a Candlelight Dinner at the Parkring Restaurant, located in the prestigious Marriott Hotel in Vienna, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. We attended the Parkring Restaurant's Candelight Dinner: For a five-star hotel, priced at 67 Euro per person (without drinks!), the food was incredibly mediocre. There was nothing exceptional except for the grilled meats and fish. We could have easily gotten much better food at a restaurant nearby. We were interrupted every 10-15 minutes by a different server asking us if ''everything is ok,'' and if we wanted something else to drink. Der Luxusbrunch war ein Geschenk welches wir zu 3 wahrgenommen haben.

Das grösste Problem stellte die Speisenauswahl dar. Es war 1 Schwangere, 1 Vegetarierin und 1 Veganer zu Gast.

Für die Schwangere gab es genug Essensauswahl. Leider wurde jedoch trotz ausdrücklichem Wunsch das Fleisch nicht gar gebraten und war in der Mitte immer noch rosig. Ansonsten war hier alles zu vollster Zufriedenheit. Auch gab es auf der Karte eine grosse Auswahl an tauglichen Getränken.

Für die Vegetarierin gab es kaum Alternativen, dafür eine grosse Käseauswahl und die Nachspeisen. Auch konnte sie nur aus den Beilagen oder 1 Hauptspeise auswählen.

Für den Veganer war leider absolut keine Speisenauswahl vorhanden. Er konnte sich von trockenen Salatblättern, 1 Couscoussalat und Beilagenkartoffeln ernähren. Bei den Süssigkeiten gab es 2 vegane Speisen. Allgemein gab es kaum Gemüse zur Auswahl. Ein wenig Rotkraut und Kohlgemüse. Das wars.

Für den Preis finde ich die Auswahl an Speisen für alle Personengruppen leider sehr dürftig. Für Menschen die Fleisch essen ist es definitiv ein Paradies mit viel Auswahl. Gesundes sucht man vergeblich. 1 Schale mit Kohlgemüse und Rotkraut ist definitiv nicht ausreichend Gemüseauswahl.

Ebenfalls wurden wir in den 3 Stunden die wir vor Ort waren 2x gefragt, ob wir etwas zu trinken möchten. Zur Begrüssung wurde sofort ein Sekt angeboten, aber bis nach ca. 1,5 Stunden vor Ort gab es weder Mineralwasser, Säfte, Kaffee. Alle Tische rundherum dagegen wurden regelmässig selbstständig vom Personal bedient.

Das Ambiente ist hervorragend. Alles strahlt puren Luxus aus. Leider verschwindet dieses Bild sehr schnell wenn man nicht in die Zielgruppe des Hotels fällt....
