We stopped in for lunch today, when we walked in the place was completely deserted, there was a female Asian staff member at the till; she was staring at the screen of her terminal appeared to be watching something online. The staff member did not look up at us for at least 4min, I was going to say something but wanted to see how long it would take for her to acknowledge the only customers in the restaurant.
She finally looked up and asked what we wanted in very poor English. We ordered 2 burgers one was a chicken burger, chicken bites both orders came with fries and a drink. The total bill was $34. We were never asked what options of topping would be added and I am on a strict diet of no condiments. The menu stated only tomato and lettuce. I left to use the bathroom, it was disgustingly filthy, looked like had not been cleaned in over a month, the soap dispenser was broken, on an angle and dripping liquid soap everyplace. When I see a bathroom in that condition it makes me wonder what the sanitary conditions in the kitchen are.
My 14 yo son picked up our order the staff member had to rummage through the bag for the p/u ticket even though we were the only ones in the place, for some unknown reason it was for take-out, no a big deal except there was no place to dip our fries in ketchup for my kids. I had taken one bite before looking at it. I opened my chicken burger and it had pickles, ketchup, and relish. I brought it up to the counter and asked them to remake the chicken burger.
When I returned 10min later after no staff member brought out a new burger the staff member said "Refund?" At this point I was done, accepted a refund and after my kids were done I picked up a wrap at another vender. I have no problem with anyone working in an industry who is ESL, however; they must have a functioning ability with English if doing so. This was the worst customer service that I have had in a long time from a fast food restaurant. This burger used to be the best burger place to get a burger until now.
I will not return and tell everyone I know to...
Read moreThis place should not be open.To any one who has a food allergy... stay far away! We went here yesterday to grab a burger for my husband. He is severely allergic to soy, so before ordering we asked the lady working there whether there is any soy in the burgers. She said she doesn't think so but she'd double check - the other lady working up front immediately said "no" when we asked is there any soy (as if she'd been asked this a million times). We even went as far as to go into the different areas that may have soy (the bun, the sauce) and she still said "no". She led us to feel very confident that it was ok. We had boated to Harrison so were headed out to find a remote place to picnic. He'd had a bite of his burger on the way and immediately could feel his mouth and gums tingling. He said and knew that there WAS soy in this burger. We were lucky enough to not have been too far away (can't imagine what would have happened had we waited a bit before having lunch in the middle of nowhere). His throat closed up and he wasn't able to breath properly. We had to call 911. Needless to say the day was ruined. He ended up being able to come home after the given oxygen, and adrenaline. We went back to speak with the restaurant, turned out soy was in the patty, it was 75% of the burger patty... being a restaurant isn't this your kind of one and only issue, that you serve food safely?! I'm beyond shocked. Although they said they were sorry they didn't show any signs of trying to remedy their nearly fatal mistake. The tole that something like this takes on someones body never mind your mental health.... Had he not been an adult and a young child instead the story would have ended very differently. Stay far far away from this place - they don't seem to take their customers...
Read moreI ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries and a coke. My wife ordered the fish and chips combo. The food and the fries were good. My wife really enjoyed the fish and chips and said the fish was delicious and tasted fresh. She washed it down with a Fanta soda. My cheeseburger was small but tasty. The fries were plentiful. The drink was small and it said in the soda fountain that refills were a dollar. The food is a bit overpriced but we are in Harrison Hot Springs so food is going to be pricey. The dollar extra for refills is a bit too much but I understand because when we came in there were plenty of teenagers with bottomless stomachs in the restaurant. The woman behind the counter was friendly but she didn't get out from the back of the purchase counter to bring you your food. For the price we paid it would have been nice for her to bring the food. We tipped for a service that was not provided. It is crazy that you order your own food at the counter and are asked to tip. Then they don't provide a service. We like Harrison Hot Springs and understand that is a tourist trap and food and everything is going to be expensive. Overall I recommend Harrison Hamburgers for a quick bite in between the fun at Harrison...
