An Unforgettable Anniversary Dinner / Highly Recommend – 10/10!
My husband and I spent the weekend celebrating our anniversary and found ourselves walking around, searching for the perfect spot to wrap up a special weekend. We came across this restaurant, and despite the long line (with people even standing outside!), we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did.
Once we were seated, we were warmly greeted by our server, Elliot. From start to finish, Elliot was exceptional—attentive, polite, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We were a bit undecided on what to order, but he guided us with thoughtful recommendations and clear explanations that truly enhanced our experience.
For the first time ever, we tried snails—and thanks to Elliot’s recommendation, we went with the gratinéed version. They were absolutely delicious and such a great way to try something new. For our mains, we chose the #6 Les Éclusiers (Lobster Linguini) and #11 Les 100 Clochers (Lamb Shank Braised in Red Wine). Both dishes were cooked to perfection—rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated.
Although I was completely full by the end of the meal, while I was in the restroom, my husband decided to order dessert—a slice of chocolate cake. When it arrived, it looked so good I had to try a bite, despite my full stomach. It was presented beautifully, with fresh fruit, whipped cream, and an elegant touch that made it irresistible. I’m usually not a big chocolate person, but this cake was a solid 10/10. My husband, a self-proclaimed chocolate lover, said it was the best piece of chocolate cake he’s had in years.
This restaurant exceeded all our expectations, from the food to the service, and truly helped us end our anniversary weekend on a high note. A heartfelt thank you to Elliot for making the evening so memorable. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be recommending this gem to all our family...
Read moreBest Italian food I ever tasted outside of Italy itsef. Period. Jaw droppingly good. This joint and its food is stellar, solidly delicious and albeit the yummiest. It's so good, before being able to fully explore Montreal I genuinely thought I was in the Little Italy region. We stumbled across this humble little joint when exploring old Town and so lucky we got to experience it. SO good, we even went back a second evening for dinner legitimately! The food was incredible and the server was so nice, approachable and accommodating to collaborate two dishes for me by making the veggie Le Marché Atwater but with Spicy Tomato Arrabiata Sauce as I'm a spice fan. It was SUPER yummy, more ish and addictive, im struggling for words to describe how fresh and authentic it tasted, the Spicy Tomato Arrabiata Sauce lived up to the hype for sure. They also had a great selection of fresh breads and salad bar, all in which was a very plentiful portion and left us stuffed but still salvatating about the thought of more. The food and aesthetics transported me back to being in Rome and also made us feel like we were on a first date. Very unique, authentic and Rustic. You can tell the staff take great pride in their consistency and incredible justified reputation. Down to every detail is completely thoughtful and full proof, making this an incredible once in a lifetime style visit. I was also hugely surprised at the value for money for such a great experience. The menu also boasts solid vegetarian eating options. This humble little gem is a must. Support...
Read moreSore of a random dinner place we picked in Montreal, but surprisingly memorable. This is what spaghetti be treated before goes to our stomach. This restaurant has a high volume of customer even on weekday around 7-8pm, they are able to welcome walk-in customers, there’s only one server at front but everything goes perfect and smooth. The salad corner is adorable, feels like a hotel dinning room with self service, green food all easily picked by personal preference. Seats almost full but very-well organized, the paper menu prepared on the table already, as a use of table mat. Their server will not give too much pressure to customers’ choice, they gave options when we asked for advice, that’s a great response to the serving. Same emotion contacts of serving brings cozy and relief for vistors like us, it makes this Montreal night feels like my grandma’s home. The restaurant is using warm lights but fulfilled and centralized. Most of the time those heavy lights confuse the feeling of easy, the food here is great for young and old to have a date, even for a normal night to grab a dinner, heavy lights took away the mysterious moods and bring a bit nervous. Usually a banquet will use so many lights. Customer should need a bit event feelings and self comfort while its the dinner time, if each table has its own pendant lights, which is enough for each table to has the lights and moods, in order to centralize the dinning area, what about make each dishes on the table more clearly with one light. Wish this place getting know by...
