Our last visit here wasn’t great—we were seated by the host but waited over 40 minutes without ever being served, so we left. This time, however, was a much better experience. We were seated quickly, and our waitress came by almost immediately with water. The service was very good, and all the staff we interacted with were incredibly kind, sweet, and welcoming. The atmosphere definitely isn’t for everyone—it’s loud, full of animatronic animals, thunderstorm sound effects, and jungle decor. But I personally loved it. The charm and quirks of the place really make it stand out. It’s unlike any other restaurant you’ll ever visit, and it’s just fun to say you’ve dined at the Rainforest Café. Now, the prices—just wow. The food is very expensive. $36 CAD for fish and chips, and $6 for a Pepsi was hard to justify. Even though it's a tourist area, it was still a tough pill to swallow. After two meals, a Pepsi, and a lemonade, plus tax and tip, the bill came to $95 CAD. So keep that in mind. That said, the food actually surpassed both our expectations. The portions were big and everything tasted great. I had the fish and chips, and my girlfriend had the Rainforest Café burger. We both really enjoyed our meals. As a bonus, the souvenirs were surprisingly affordable. I picked up a mug and a magnet for just $12 CAD, and most of the gift shop items were fairly priced. All in all, I do recommend Rainforest Café if you’re looking for a fun and unique dining experience. It’s definitely memorable—and if you're okay with spending a bit more, it’s worth checking out at least once.

Taking friends to Niagara Falls for their first time ever is always a treat - for them, of course, and for me to see the awe in their expressions at the sheer majesty of the falls. Of course, when you see something as awesome and unique as the falls, you've gotta have a meal experience to match. It doesn't get much more unique than dining in a jungle forest, surrounded by wild beasts. Rainforest Cafe is definitely unique. The ladies shared a Pastalaya Pasta (Shrimp, sautéed chicken, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, andouille sausage, hot & spicy Cajun sauce, linguini), while I had the Fish-n-Chips (Served English style with two pieces of beer battered cod fish with jungle fries and coleslaw). The portions for both dishes were very generous, more than enough for sharing , and more than enough for the three of us. The pasta dish had great flavour while the fish was perfectly battered and cooked. We all enjoyed the food! The service was also very good, from being greeted to leaving, we were well taken care of. As expected though, prices were a bit on the high side, typical of all the restaurants in the area. As much as we enjoyed our meal, it wasn't all perfect. It was a bit dark in the restaurant. I understand that the low lighting sets the mood for the rainforest theme, complete with simulated thunder and rain but it was a bit difficult to read the menu. The table next to us had to use the flashlight on their cell phones to see. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, Check out Rainforest Cafe. Bring a flashlight.

We attempted to dine at this restaurant tonight with our 3 young children. We arrived at 7:45 and were told it would be a 25 minute wait for a table, we felt this was reasonable so we waited but we weren’t seated until after 9pm (red flag #1). Upon walking to our table, I noticed the restaurant appeared very dirty with food and debris all over the ground (red flag #2). The restaurant was fairly empty with plenty of tables but we were seated at the table right at the entrance to the kitchen with a giant dirty fan blowing that was incredibly loud. We asked for a different table but the host seemed hesitant to seat us somewhere else which I didn’t understand. Our server approached us and offered us a booth instead, away from the giant noisy, dirty fan and we were fine with that. Our server was kind and attentive. He promptly brought us water, however they didn’t have enough clean cups so I was served water in a disposable cup… (red flag #3). At a restaurant that charges at least $34 for an entree, I didn’t expect to be served anything in plastic. We ordered meals for our children and I took my daughter to the bathroom while we waited. The garbage cans in the bathroom were overflowing, 2 out of 6 stalls were out of order and the accessible stall was absolutely disgusting - I couldn’t imagine being a person with a disability and having no choice but to use that filthy stall (red flag #4). Upon returning to our table, I sat down and my shirt caught on something underneath the table and ripped. The plastic covering on the table wasn’t properly affixed and caught my shirt and tore it. It was quite sharp and I worried about my kids getting hurt by it (red flag #5). By this point, we had serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant and our kids were exhausted from waiting over an hour but they were very hungry so we requested our kids’ meals to go (chicken nuggets & fries, and pepperoni pizza & fries), we opted not to order meals for ourselves. Our server was apologetic and we acknowledged that absolutely none of this was his fault. He was prompt in bringing us the kids meals and our bill. We inspected the meals before leaving the restaurant and noticed the pizza was very undercooked and not edible (the dough was practically raw - red flag #6). At this point we approached the manager. She was kind and apologized for our negative experience. We were refunded the cost of our meals, and our children were given souvenir cups. We appreciated these gestures but were sad to leave with such a disappointing experience. Too many red flags for me to recommend this place or give it a second chance. There’s better spots to eat on Clifton Hill.

First thing first, people likely do not go here for the service or the food. You go for the atmosphere, because you likely have children, and you are in the area as a visitor. I cannot imagine locals go here with so many other options that are definitely comparable in price with much better food and service. We were in Niagara with a large group. We had split off and were going to meet up for dinner. We were going to meet up with a group that were at Rainforest. We did not know the exact number that decided to go there vs other restaurants. When our group of 4 arrived, we couldn't really see anyone in the restaurant, but knew our group was there as they ordered for us. When we said as much to the hostess, we were asked how many were in the group inside. We didn't know exactly, and guessed 10. We were told there was no group of 10 and we would have to wait. We asked if we could go find our group as they had ordered for us. We were told we couldn't and then they led another couple to their seat. I messaged someone from our group and they came out to get us, and so we went in. There was maybe, 15 other patrons aside from us and the rest of our group already had their food. Of the 4 of us in our group, 2 received their meal within 10 minutes. Drinks another 10 after that. We kept asking about the other two meals (which I note were the same as the two already received), and were told by 3 different people that they would check on them and they are likely almost ready. Obviously that was not the case... Or perhaps it was as one of the steaks came out dry as jerky. The steak that had come out on time was expectly overpriced, but unexpectedly bland. We were offered steak sauce though! One of the servers we had was really nice and apologetic. The manager (he was wearing a white shirt so I assume was the manger) said he would check on our food and never came back. I definitely give this 5 stars for the atmosphere. Kids would absolutely love it. And I liked the "storm" that occurred which brought everything to "life". If you need to experience Rainforest Cafe you will get what you want in terms of atmosphere, but you will not feel you got your money's worth in terms of food.

I can wholeheartedly say this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Attended with 4 kids between the ages 5-7. Kids meals were paltry. Macaroni and Cheese was made with penne. As was the python pasta. Not a huge deal, but the portion sizes were incredibly small considering the price, $14. Kid sized milk was an extra $4, brining the kids meal to a whopping $18, not including tax or tip for what is pictured. When I mentioned the disappointment that the fresh fruit we ordered as a side was a prepackaged fruit cup they offered more orange slices (every kids meal came with 2 disgusting looking slices). Other kids ordered chocolate milk, which was water with chocolate syrup. At $4 a cup, it was disgusting. Adult meals were also extremely over priced. We barely touched our food and when we were honest about the quality the waitress apologized but did not make any offer to comp or discount the meal. Normally at large chain restaurants they’ll grant you that courtesy, but here they did not. There are sooooo many options in the area. Please avoid this place. *Atmosphere Note* Thunderstorms every 30mins. It was cool for the kids the first time, but service was slow and the thunderstorms got old really quick. Guests are encouraged to walk around and explore, the displays are very very dusty and do not look like they are regularly cleaned. You could honestly just walk in, take a look and leave. No need to buy a horrible and over priced meal. The entrance has a large fish tank, hang out long enough and your kids will get to experience the thunderstorm for free. In the front area the thunderstorm is less loud and frightening if your child has any sensory issues. Again, I cannot stress enough how much this place should be avoided.

As our trip to Niagara drew to a close, my boyfriend and I decided to cap off our food adventures with a visit to Rainforest Cafe, and what a delightful finale it turned out to be! Opting for classic comfort food, my boyfriend indulged in the Fish-N-Chips while I savoured the Rainforest Burger accompanied by a fresh salad. The Fish-N-Chips were a true standout, perfectly crispy without being greasy, and bursting with flavour. Meanwhile, the Rainforest Burger was a juicy masterpiece, with every bite delivering a symphony of taste sensations. And the salad? Surprisingly fresh and crisp, a perfect complement to our hearty mains. But it wasn't just the food that left us impressed. The service was exemplary, with our waiter going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff's warmth and friendliness added to the inviting atmosphere, making us feel right at home amidst the jungle-themed decor. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but notice the cheerful ambiance, punctuated by the joyful sounds of birthday celebrations. The staff's enthusiasm in leading the birthday cheers added to the overall sense of merriment and camaraderie. In summary, Rainforest Cafe Niagara delivers on both culinary excellence and exceptional service, earning a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars from us. Whether you're seeking delicious comfort food or a memorable dining experience surrounded by nature's beauty, this is the place to be!
