⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute must-stop in Ucluelet! We stumbled across Ukee Dogs while exploring Ucluelet and couldn’t have been happier we did. The vibe here is super chill — a funky mix of laid-back west coast energy and fun, eclectic decor. The patio is bright and colourful, complete with covered seating, making it a perfect place to relax, grab a bite, and soak in the atmosphere. We tried a few different dogs, and every one of them hit the spot. The Ukee Dog — a chili cheese dog — was loaded with flavour and super satisfying. The Spicy Mexican Dog had just the right amount of heat, topped with fresh pico and a drizzle of creamy sauce. Both were creative, well-balanced, and totally crave-worthy. Fries were hot, crispy, and generously portioned — the kind you keep snacking on even when you say you’re full. Bonus: they’ve got local beers on tap, which made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick even though it was busy. We also loved how dog-friendly the place was — we had our pup with us, and he was treated like a guest too. Whether you’re just passing through or staying in Ukee for a while, make sure to swing by Ukee Dogs. It’s got great food, awesome vibes, and that perfect west coast charm. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

We found this place as we were looking for some dog friendly options. We were greeted right away, given the menus and told to pick a seat and he will be right with us. It was not busy, only two other tables were there. After watching the server spending 20 minutes flirting with the girls at the other table and totally ignoring us, he finally came over to take our order. It didn't seem like he is interested in working. I ordered the Tuna Sliders. The tuna was slightly on the dryer side but other than that they were flavourful and tasty. My boyfriend had the Korean Hotdog which was great. The food and drinks showed up in a timely manner, but the service could really use more attention. We weren't asked if we would like anything else. I sent my boyfriend inside to pay to speed up the process a little. All in all, a place with potential but lack of an eye for detail and service.

Went the first night (lights on, door open, 40 mins left til advertised closing) was told ‘sorry we’re closed) That tracked with the poor service reviews we read. So we went next door to Frankie’s (so good). BUT we gave them another chance a couple nights later and it was GReAT! Service was prompt and friendly, atmosphere is ‘hot dog beach shack’. Shared two different dogs, the chili and fries. All was delicious!! Especially the fries which kind of surprised us. Great options and fun food without a massive hit to the wallet. The people next to us had the chili/cheese fries and I regret not getting that. So, I guess it’s hit or miss here - it was November in Ucluelet so I guess they just close if it’s not busy, staffing might be an issue. Anyhow, they redeemed themselves. We’ll be back!

Should have read other reviews first as the server with the pink hair was more than unfriendly, bordering on rude. Considering the other poor reviews based on her lack of warmth and courteousness, she must either be the owner or related to the owner. From the moment we walked in, we were greeting with indifference bordering on hostility. She tells us to grab menus at the counter so we assume we order there. Nope. She tells us to just sit down. Any additional requests from us - like for ketchup or mustard - seemed to be one request too much for her. Meanwhile, based on the noise, someone seems to be doing some serious renos in the kitchen. Like seriously…do that when there are no customers. Food was okay but would have preferred a grilled dog vs steamed. The fries, however, were great. I only ate half my hotdog, which also seemed to be an issue for our server when she came to check on us she quite rudely asked if everything was okay. I felt like she was waiting for me to explain or apologize for not eating the whole dog. I thought she just hated me for some reason but when hubby asked if we paid at the counter she mumbled that she would bring over the machine but seemed annoyed she had to stop with her “art project” strewn across...

We had the most mixed experience of our life here.

The food was awesome (shout out to the chef!), but it was a challenge to actually get it. For starters, we stood at the entrance (it tells you to wait to get seated) and the waitress walked by 4 times without acknowledging us. It was as if we had been arch enemies in another life! It wasn’t busy at all, so after the last time she walked by, we decided to sit down ourselves. It took her some time to get to us, but eventually she did, and she took our order. It was a very simple order — 2 items — but she forgot to ring one of them in, so we ended up waiting even longer. Meanwhile, we saw another group of people wait around for ~10 minutes at the entrance unacknowledged. Again, it wasn’t busy — there were 2 other people besides us, so we found it a bit strange. She never checked in on us again (or came outside) for the remainder of our meal, so we decided to just go in and pay. When we paid, she didn’t say look at us or say a word besides “Mastercard?” I don’t care for small talk, but I have to admit, the whole experience was pretty off putting. Sadly, we won’t be going back, which is really too bad because the...
