WB Rentals G1 — Local services in Whistler Resort Municipality

Cool folks. Bad rentals.

Picked up my “premium DH rental” with a rear wheel with some of the worst rim folds/dents I’ve ever seen. Tire bead barely holding. Before riding I returned and asked for a new wheel. They agreed and swapped the wheel. Went on one warm up run (blue flow) and could feel the wheel rattling on every compression. Returned again with almost every rear spoke loose (to the point of rattling). They agreed it shouldn’t have passed inspection and gave me a 3rd wheel. Maxis DHR2 had maybe 10% tread left. Rode top of the world and almost all the double black tech trails and even the Patrol guys were chuckling at my rear racing slick.

When I returned the bike, I let them know that the rear tire was absolutely terrifying and needed replaced ASAP for safety, and they shrugged their shoulders.

Better off renting with Evolution or someone else that respects...

It was kind of disappointing to get gear telling them we are beginners and asking for advise then going up the mountain to notice that one ski isn’t adjusted at all. We had no clue how to adjust the ski so we were lucky to meet a friendly stranger who helped us. Due to this fail I would have given less stars but the ticketing service team did a great job on fixing our mistake of accidentally renting the gear for the wrong weekend. They were awesome and very friendly (can’t say the same about their colleagues at the rental store who kept ignoring incoming customers…) All in all I guess this rental is a good choice for advanced skiers who don’t need any advise or guidance on gear.. as a beginner I would opt for another...

Great experience. Initially had a slight hiccup. I left a previous Google review and got a response from the general manager in three days. Not only was the response tailored and specific to me. It was very well thought out and actually addressing the problem. During the hiccup G1 rentals handled it with A1, customer service skills as well as elite leadership skills. Although my rental did not go perfect, g1 made it perfect and fixed it with no questions asked, so for that I recommend them.
