Incompetence at its Finest: Ebeneezers Kebab Review
I rarely leave reviews, but the sheer level of incompetence at Ebeneezers Kebab is something that needs to be addressed. To call this place a disaster would be a gross understatement.
Let's start with the kebab. They somehow managed to destroy what should have been a simple, enjoyable meal. Instead of keeping the lettuce and tomato fresh, they brilliantly decided to stuff them into the kebab and then press the whole thing in a sandwich press. Yes, you read that right. The result? A soggy, wilted mess that had the freshness of a week-old salad left in a hot car. What’s wrong with these people?
As if that wasn’t bad enough, we ordered a vegetable biryani with a salad. You’d think it would be common sense to keep the hot and cold items separate, but not here. These culinary geniuses thought it was a great idea to dump the steaming biryani right next to the cold salad. The result was a lukewarm pile of mush that was neither biryani nor salad, just a sad, soggy mixture that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Do they have a complete lack of common sense? It appears they do.
And then there were the chips. $50 for chips, and what did we get? A soggy, steamed mess because they sealed the hot chips in a plastic container without punching any holes in it. Who does that? The chips were soggy beyond repair, and I was left wondering how this place is still in business.
To top it all off, Ebeneezers Kebab claims to specialize in Indian food, kebabs, and pizza. Here’s a thought: maybe they should stick to doing one thing well instead of spreading themselves so thin that they end up doing everything terribly.
This place is a complete and utter failure in every sense. Save your money, your time, and your sanity, and go literally anywhere else. Ebeneezers Kebab is not just bad; it’s bafflingly, unbelievably bad. How this place hasn’t gone out of business yet is one of life’s...

The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Tandoori Kebab. The chicken was marinated to perfection, infused with a rich blend of spices that delivered a burst of flavor with every bite. The kebabs were grilled to a tender finish, providing a smoky aroma that complemented their succulent texture. The accompanying spicy sauce was a standout, elevating the dish with its tangy and fiery notes that perfectly balanced the savory elements of the kebab.
I also indulged in four pieces of spring rolls, which were a delightful addition to my meal. These crispy rolls were filled with fresh vegetables, expertly seasoned, and fried to a golden perfection. Each bite was a satisfying crunch, with a harmonious blend of flavors that showcased the quality of the ingredients.
The service at Ebeneezer was commendable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that enhanced my dining experience.

Read moreEbeneezers Hollywood Road, nothing is better for flavour and spice, especially after every other place has closed early. They have managed to consistently produce flavorsome dishes every time I visit, no matter what time I stumble in. :) Joking aside, the staff, under supervision of so, so friendly Yogi makes my visits always memorable. I always banter with him and staff regarding latest cricket match. The whole staff always joins into the conversation with me. They always greet me warmly, waiting to argue about the next match. And in a couple of occasions Yogi invited a few HK cricket players to serve customers. Wow! so interesting to talk with them. Yogi, and whoever your boss is, keep my happiness going. Until next time, Yogi, . . . thank you
