For Wagyu lovers: a must-try exquisite Wagyu Kappo Omakase.

Wagyu Kappo Oda, located in Central, specializes in Odagyu beef from Kagoshima. These Wagyu cattle are known for their meticulous breeding methods, resulting in tender and flavorful meat that is rich but not greasy. This time, we specially selected the Seasonal Omakase ($1480) and Samurai Omakase ($1280) sets.

Consommé Espresso Soup This Japanese-style consommé is made with beef, bonito, and fresh vegetables, without any seasoning. The entire mouth is filled with the taste of natural ingredients, giving a very healing sensation!

Seasonal Appetizers Refreshing flying fish roe and salad with corned beef are refreshing and appetizing.

Today's Selected Beef We tasted the premium sirloin butt, which was soft, juicy, and paired with sesame oil, mustard, and salted kelp. Sesame oil best enhances the flavor of the meat.

Charcoal Grilled Seasonal Vegetables Seasonal vegetables include shitake mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, and Hokkaido small potatoes. The small potatoes, which look like sweet potatoes, have a super rich flavor.

Oda Wagyu Sukiyaki with Kodawari Egg Mini Oda Wagyu Sukiyaki with a moderately salty-sweet sauce. The tender beef absorbs the essence of the sauce and is served with pickled sterile eggs for a smoother and more delicate taste.

Oda Wagyu Tartar Mini Rice Bowl Made with cherry wood-smoked beef, caviar, and sea urchin, it is incredibly fresh and sweet, offering a triple enjoyment of sight, taste, and aroma.

Refresher A simple combination of Apple Compote and Wine Jelly is refreshing and cleanses the palate.

Steamed Spanish Mackerel and Selected Loin with Consommé Starchy Sauce This dish wraps flavorful Spanish mackerel in thin slices of meat and adds a starchy sauce with broth. It has an excellent balance and is very healing and comforting!

Samurai Omakase's Charcoal Grilled Shitake Mushroom with Miso Shinshu large shiitake mushrooms are delicately seasoned with miso, then charcoal grilled for a rich and juicy flavor. Upon entering the mouth, there is a subtle beef flavor, which is a pleasant surprise. After consulting the chef, I learned that the miso is mixed with stir-fried beef! Wow!

Charcoal Grilled Tenderloin This charcoal-grilled tenderloin was the highlight of my meal. The Oda Wagyu tenderloin used was extremely flavorful. The special feature is the pairing with salted raw peppercorns, which not only enhance the flavor of the meat but also add a touch of sharpness! The Samurai Omakase is charcoal-grilled sirloin, which is rich in oil and has a smooth taste, but the beef flavor is not as strong as the tenderloin. No matter which one you choose, you can feel the unique charm of Wagyu beef!

Oda Wagyu & Mushroom Truffle Rice with Sea Urchin & Salmon Roe This "casserole rice" combines Wagyu beef, sea urchin, and salmon roe, with Japanese pickles. It is fragrant and rich in flavor. Every bite is full of the freshness of Wagyu beef, the delicacy of sea urchin, and the soft crunchy of salmon roe. This dish is not only a feast for the taste buds but also a visual enjoyment, leaving a lasting impression!

Today's Dessert Today's dessert are tofu pudding with maple syrup and Dekopon citrus to bring a perfect end to this Wagyu feast.

This Omakase dinner allowed me to fully appreciate the unique and high-quality flavor of Odagyu beef, and the rich but not greasy beef aroma was unforgettable. Not only that, it also demonstrated the chefs' superb cooking skills, bringing the various parts and characteristics of Odagyu beef to the fullest. My wife and I were looking for a weekday wagyu date place in Central, and Wagyu Kappo Oda kept coming up. We were lucky enough to get a table during dinner.

The place was discreetly tucked away in the heart of Queen’s Road. Once we stepped in, we felt like we were back in Japan. Tomo-san greeted us with a warm smile and sat us down right in front of the chef, Ivan-san and Matsumoto-chan, the pair preparing our food with meticulous care.

We tried the Oda Beef Tasting Menu since we were hungry and it was AMAZING. From the appetizer, to the main course of three wagyu beefs, everything was cooked perfectly. Halfway through the meal, my wife said she needed more because it tasted so good. We ended up ordering the wagyu sando sandwich and it was the perfect way to end the meal.

We highly recommend everyone to try this DELICIOUS hidden gem. The place gets really packed and must be hard to get into on weekends, but its...

I have been to Oda a few times for business and personal use. In addition to the regular cooking courses, there is also a business cooking course, which is convenient. All the dishes are very good value for money because they are run by a Japanese wagyu beef farm. The meat has the right amount of fat and is the best tasting meat I have ever tasted. The meat is called ODAGYU, which is selected in Galaxy in Macau and in starred restaurants in Taiwan. If you are on a tight budget, I recommend the Hitsumabushi. That is only available during lunch hours, but the quality is so high that you can't even taste...
