Arepas manaos — Restaurant in Quindío

Please stop by this place if you are visiting Salento or the Cócora Valley. This place is sooo worth it. It’s inside a little food court-like area which made it so much better because if you are traveling in a larger group everyone can pick from the different restaurants. But these arepas where FILLED with a generous amount of meats. Incredible taste , they resemble a gordita rellena ( if you’re mexican you know) But I can’t reccomend this place enough it was so good to eat at after a long walk around the valley...

We went here on purpose as we arrived in Salento a little later than planned. It’s in a commercial center, on the ground floor. Just a little bit hidden but not difficult to find. The arepas are really great and just the thing for a quick dinner. They have plenty of options, vegetarian and with meat. The local cheese is divine as is the pork! The arepas were the absolute best I've had in my 3 week stay in Colombia, I couldn't even take a picture before I started eating.

The owners are kind and passionate people and they really show their love through their craft. I strongly recommend trying their homemade sauces as well!
