Gelateria aMare — Restaurant in Grad Split

I was in Split for a couple of weeks, having tried out gelati at different places before chancing upon aMare’s soft launch one Saturday where they were giving out free samples.

I tried a few and selected Apple Crumble, which was one of the best gelato I have ever had. I came back multiple times, bringing friends with me. A few of the servers even recognized me after a few times and I told them I was only going to their place ever since. Their service was consistently top notch, and I felt like I was visiting a friend’s shop. Once, I was too busy, so couldn’t visit for a week and they offered me a gelato for free!

Today was my last day in Split but alas they were temporarily closed due to some thermal issues and I couldn’t indulge in my favorite gelato. Nonetheless, I recommend this place and I wish them all the best — thank you for the awesome gelati and even better service!

I am currently on an overseas trip in Split, Croatia.

This area has been wonderful, with its Beautiful sea, rich culture, pleasant climate.

One warm day, when the temperature exceeded 25 degrees. I craved Ice Cream.

I searched on Google Map and discovered a place called "Gelateria aMare", which was conveniently located near my hotel.

It was outstanding, as It had received a perfect score on Google Maps.

I ordered the following.

It was very delicious. I would highly rate it 4.6 out of 5.

Amazing. If you want to get gelato in Split. this is THE place. Literally the only place with a solid 5-star review. They had exactly what I was looking for - Pistachio. Not just pastachio, but it's called Pistachio Premium and oh, isn't it just. Wow. I got that and the Hazelnut which was also divine. They will put in a cone or cup (I recommend the cone) and also put a cute wafer cookie with fresh chocolate on it if you wish (also do this). Super friendly scoopers, beautiful shop.
