A Terrible Dining Experience – Extremely Disappointing

We had an extremely unpleasant dining experience at this restaurant, and we are deeply disappointed. A group of us—regular customers—came for a meal. One of the staff members led us to a table in the corner. Since we had a relatively large group, we asked if we could move to a larger table nearby. The server agreed and told us the table needed to be cleaned, and asked us to wait for a moment. So we waited by the table. Shortly afterward, the same server told us we could sit down and wait there, and then left to assist other guests.

A few minutes later, what appeared to be the manager came over and started setting our table—placing utensils on a visibly dirty table. We politely reminded him that the table had not yet been cleaned. To our surprise, he responded in an extremely impatient and accusatory tone, asking why we didn’t sit at the original table arranged by the previous staff member. He ignored our explanation and continued placing all the utensils directly on the dirty table.

Once again, we emphasized that the table hadn’t been cleaned. His response was still full of impatience and blame, telling us we shouldn't have sat at a table that wasn't ready. We explained that it was his own staff who had instructed us to sit and wait there. Only then did he begrudgingly wipe part of the table in a very minimal and careless way.

Later, we ordered soup and set meals. The soup was served promptly. As regulars, we were used to receiving our main dishes shortly after the soup, even if some of us hadn't finished. But this time, it was different. One friend wanted to have the soup later, so we left one bowl untouched on the table. For the next 40 minutes, no one came to check on us—not even once. The manager, who had handled our table earlier, completely ignored us.

Finally, when we couldn’t wait any longer, we raised our hand and asked the manager about our food. As expected, his explanation was that since there was still a bowl of soup on the table, they hadn’t served our main dishes yet. We told him it was fine to go ahead and bring the food. Only then did our meal resume as normal.

We understand that, typically, the main course is served after the soup is finished—but in this case, the entire table had been done eating, with only one bowl left untouched for 30 minutes, and no one came to check on us. That’s simply not normal. Especially considering our many past visits to this restaurant, such a situation has never happened before. Based on our earlier unpleasant interaction with the manager, things suddenly made more sense. Even if the manager was deliberately “waiting for the soup to be finished,” choosing to ignore a table with no food except one bowl for half an hour in a not-so-busy restaurant—is this really the standard of service? Especially from a manager?

We won’t name this manager publicly, but if the restaurant would like to know who it was, feel free to message us privately—we’d be more than happy to provide details.

As long-time customers, we've never encountered such hostile and retaliatory behavior from a manager in any restaurant. If this manager’s behavior truly represents the restaurant’s service standards, even if it doesn't affect your business, we...

We visited FUZE Restaurant on November 2nd around 13:40 and left at 14:40. At first, everything seemed ok, the restaurant looked stylish, the atmosphere was nice, and the waiter who gave us our table and served us at the beginning was very kind, friendly, and attentive. We were actually planning to stay longer and order more food because other family members were also joining us. However, what happened next with another waitress was truly shocking and unacceptable. A female waitress with red hair (i didn’t catch her name) walked by our table, and I wanted to ask her something politely. Before I could even finish speaking, she made a dismissive hand gesture, a kind of sliding movement of her hand, without even looking at me or saying a single word. The gesture was extremely disrespectful and left me and my family speechless. A couple of minutes later, we needed salt at our table. My brother stood up to politely ask if he could take the salt from their counter (because no waiter was there at the time). When he asked the same waitress, to make sure it is ok, she simply walked past him as if he didn’t exist, again without saying a word. She was walking in his direction and he was standing right in front of her at the moment. it was impossible not to notice him. At that point, we all felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. We called the manager to our table. The manager came together with the same waitress, and I calmly explained everything that had happened, exactly as it was. At first instead of apologizing or showing understanding, the manager said he “couldn’t imagine how something like this could happen” and that “no one has ever complained about her before.” That response made the situation even worse because it felt like he didn’t believe us. I told him this was our first visit, that we were initially satisfied, and that we even planned to order more food, but after this behavior, we just wanted to finish what we already had and leave. The manager offered us complimentary shots desserts for the kids, which I appreciated as an attempt to make things right, but honestly, we didn’t feel comfortable accepting anything else from the restaurant at that point. The trust was gone. After that, the same waitress came back and told me that my brother had asked her about the salt, but that she “doesn’t bring the salt, someone else does.” I told her that even if that was the case, she could have at least responded politely or explained that another waiter would bring it. Completely ignoring customers who are speaking to you is simply arrogant and unprofessional. I want to emphasize that the male waiter who served us originally was polite, and we still gave him a proper tip because he truly deserved it. But because of the red-haired waitress’s rude behavior and the manager’s unconvincing reaction, our entire experience was ruined.

We left the restaurant disappointed and uncomfortable. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially considering how easily the situation could have been avoided with basic respect and professionalism. It’s unfortunate, because the restaurant itself has potential but such arrogant and dismissive behavior towards customers completely destroys the atmosphere. We...

We had the pleasure of dining at FUZE restaurant in the stylish Masaryčka building in Prague during a recent business trip, and the experience was nothing short of astonishing. Nestled within the iconic Zaha Hadid-designed Penta building, FUZE impresses immediately with its modern, vibrant atmosphere spread over three floors, featuring a unique glass brewhouse where you can watch their in-house beer being brewed.

Our meal consisted of burgers, beer, and schnitzel-all executed with remarkable quality and flavor. The burgers stood out with fresh, well-balanced ingredients, while the schnitzel was perfectly cooked, tender, and crispy, embodying a flawless blend of traditional Czech comfort and modern culinary flair. The beer, brewed right on-site by their expert brewmaster Aleš Paik, complemented the food superbly, enhancing the overall dining experience.

What truly elevated our visit was the exceptional customer service. The staff were not only kind and attentive but also genuinely passionate about the food and drinks they served, creating a warm and welcoming environment that made us feel valued throughout our meal. This seamless blend of outstanding service and delicious food crafted a memorable experience that exceeded our expectations.

FUZE is a perfect destination for anyone seeking a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors in a stylish setting, complete with excellent locally brewed beer. Highly recommended for business travelers and food enthusiasts alike looking for a top-tier culinary adventure in Prague’s...

Service: The waiter offered us local liqueurs. I chose cherry. However, the waiter deliberately brought a strawberry liqueur instead, which costs 100 CZK more. I only realized this after I had already finished it in one sip. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he simply asked if I had liked it – implying that since I enjoyed it, I should pay for it. This gave me the impression that the staff assumes their guests are naïve and won’t notice such tricks. Food: The Beef Wellington and Chiken balls were delicious, but the potatoes served with it had no taste at all – no salt, no seasoning. The second dish was even worse: the sauce, the beef, and the potatoes were completely bland. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he just shrugged his shoulders. The hot wine was served in a metal mug, so hot that it was impossible to hold or drink from. I had to ask for it to be poured into a glass instead. Atmosphere: When we arrived, there was live accordion music playing, which felt completely out of place for this type of restaurant – it’s not a folk tavern. It was also so loud that we couldn’t have a proper conversation, and eventually moved to another hall. Unfortunately, that hall had an open entrance door, and we had to sit in a constant coold wind, which was very uncomfortable.

Incredible lunch menu for very good price. The soup was well seasoned with strong flavours, I like the “carrot noodles” or how to call it. Duck leg was really good too. Interesting flavours I had hard time to recognise. Great idea with the fried onion (I suppose) for the crunchy element to perfectly complement the rest. Definitely not a basic duck leg. It could have been a bit juicier than it was, but that was the only little minus. Usually when I get 4 knedliks, last one is dry, because there is not enough sauerkraut. Here the amount was perfect. I didn’t have to save for later and it was still enough (might not be visible on picture, but duck was laying entirely on the cabbage). As a Slovak, I appreciate the classic knedlik, I like it a lot more than karlovarsky or potato one. And a little extra suggestion, when we prepare this dish at home, instead of knedlik, we have lokša, which complements this dish even better! One of the best churros I had. Crispy while still soft on the inside and the dip was amazing (with cream, my mom would do it this way). Highly recommend.
