This restaurant was highly recommended to me by a local hotel. So this was the first restaurant I visited during my trip to Prague. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the staff, especially when I asked (in German) they spoke English. I was told to sit in the outside area. I seated myself...waited about 10 minutes when a server came by and asked if I placed an order. I replied no, I was waiting for a menu. He disappeared, never saw him again. 10 minutes later a female server came out with 2 beers for a table next to me. Whe she delivered the beers, I signaled her for assistance, she gave me a scowl and left. I sat for another 10 minutes watching the wait staff attend to all the tables around me without so much as someone acknowledging my presence. I got up an left. I expressed my concerns to the hotel and they were surprised. I gave this restaurant another chance. If it wasn't for th3 singular efforts of Hikem, this restaurant would have received much lower ratings. I asked for local dishes. He recommended the goulash...while tasted good, it was disappointing as to the quantity of food for the price. The plate looked full; however, it was not. There were 4 slices of bread dumplings, two potato pancakes, a lot of gravy, and some lettuce, onions and peppers on top of the 5 small pieces of beef. The local beer was okay for a Pilsner. The dessert Hikam he suggested was awesome! Hikem was extremely friendly and provided excellent choices, he is not responsible for the lack of food on the plate. For the price, there are better options...

Liked this restaurant last time we were in Prague, so hence the return visit when we were in the area again.Unfortunately this time it was not the best of experiences. When we arrived and ask for table availability for a party of 5 we were met with a front of house person who must have never had any training for a customer facing role. Finally seated, the waitress came over and spoke to us and asked to take our orders. We asked some basic questions regarding ingredients of dishes as one of our party has intolerances and the waitress was getting more and more inpatient with every question. Drinks arrived and they were slammed down onto the table and shortly after our food arrived which was ok but wasn't very hot. Some bread was ordered but missed off being delivered at the time of our main meals which then only turned up once we had nearly finished our meals. As we did not want to create any more of a scene we had our food and then paid our bill with a very minimal tip.It was a shame, as we had enjoyed our...

I would give this place zero stars if I could. • Waited over 30 minutes just to receive cold food. • The staff was not only extremely rude but outright insulting. • I mentioned that I am intolerant to eggs and milk, and I don’t eat meat in such an unprofessional, shady-looking place. This was completely ignored. • What I finally got was a plate of cold, lumpy hummus literally thrown in front of me, without bread, without garnish – just a sad half a lemon dumped in the middle. Hummus is supposed to be a dip, not a “dish”, and this one tasted unbelievably disgusting. • To top it all off, I was insulted multiple times by the staff and received nothing but condescending, arrogant looks the entire time.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. The only positive thing I can say is that the interior looked somewhat cute – but that doesn’t make up for such horrible service, disgusting food, and...

This place was recommended but unfortunately turned out to be disappointing. Food was good - despite the Kulajda being a bit cold and some of the beef in the ghoulash being a bit dry, it was still tasty, with the Pork schnitzel being fresh and enjoyable. What was particularly disappointing was the service. We visited around 14:30 and it was if the servers were upset to have us there. Service was lukewarm and when questioning the charge for one item (even when explicitly asking for something different) it was at best arrogant, and at worse, hostile. And then the waiter pointed out the tip was not included - hilarious!! Anyway, maybe go at busier times for a better service or if not, I'd recommend the restaurant on the opposite side of the road should be given a go ;)
