We had an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. We began with cocktails – a crisp Czech vodka martini and a perfectly balanced gin martini – which set the tone for the evening. For appetizers, the scallops, crudo, and oysters were beautifully presented, complemented with mayonnaise, citrus, and daikon for brightness and texture. The grilled artichokes over charcoal paired with Taleggio cheese and herb grissini were equally impressive, offering a rich, smoky balance to the seafood. Our mains were outstanding. The spaghetti with seafood carbonara featured clams, Mazancolli prawns, and black tobiko caviar – indulgent yet refined. The Italian sausage ravioli with nettle, ricotta, pistachio, sage, and chicken jus was a perfect combination of earthy, savory, and nutty flavors. We paired the meal with a 2019 Brunello di Montalcino, which opened beautifully over the course of the evening and matched the depth of the dishes. Our server, Laura from Slovenia, was absolutely wonderful – warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. She explained each dish in detail and guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations. Her service elevated the whole experience. We lingered for a memorable 2.5 hours, finishing with a decadent dessert of peanut butter, dark chocolate, and vanilla ice cream, followed by a chilled Italian limoncello served straight from the freezer – the perfect digestif. Overall, this was a remarkable evening of thoughtful cuisine, excellent wine, and warm hospitality. We can’t...
Read moreThe food was good and the service was ok. We had requested the lady who took our order to have a portion of pasta from the main dishes list, split into two because we wanted to have it before our actual main dish. She came back to ask again if we wanted two portions of pasta or one. We explained it again that we wanted one portion of pasta split into two. The pasta arrived in one plate and we were given two other plates and asked to split it by ourselves. When we told the waiter how we had requested it, he went back to the kitchen and came back to tell us that the chef will not do it.
Of course, it was not difficult for us to split the pasta into two by ourselves, however for a restaurant of that level we would expect for the chef and the lady who took our order to be aware of these:
We would not be able to split the pasta and the ingredients into two parts equally after the pasta had already been served once. Therefore one of us had less of the sauce, less caviar etc. The pasta plate was warm, and the two plates in which we were supposed to split the pasta were cold. So one of us had to eat the pasta from a cold plate, and one of us got the warm plate.
It would have been much better if our request had been taken into account and our overall experience would have been much better, as we spent around 1500 crowns/person...
Read moreI wouldn't comment on average food for cosmic prices - we were two and we had a cheese board, an entrée and a few glasses of wine and we payed 100 euro - i mean, for this money you can actually buy a return flight to Paris and have better wine and cheeses there - but whatever. That's not the point.
What really disappointed me was the service: probably attempting to compensate the mediocrity of food with "luxury" level of services, they asked us probably 17 times during the evening whether everything is alright or trying to sell us more food. That was an awful experience - we came to discuss work things and pretty important topics and we both were constantly, i mean CONSTANTLY interrupted by the service - in the middle of an active discussion when i was trying to formulate a thought, she would come and ask me if everything is alright, and 5 minutes later she would do it again. Yes, i was alright before i was interrupted in the middle of a sentence.
Please, please don't do this - it really does not feel like "attentive" service, but completely destroys the...
