As a spanish it is embarrassing that they are trying to sell that food as spanish food, I went yesterday to dinner and I was curious because it was very good rated. First of all, it took to them almost an hour to bring us some of the food, which is unacceptable to any restaurant. We ordered goat cheese, melted with a really bad look in a dish with lettuce and two strawberries, two croquettes, two super tiny meatballs, they're selling "tigers", which is a food in Spain completely different from here, and of course, also expensive. Some weird tortilla and grilled eggplant, which was not bad, but I've never seen it Spain in that way. It is really funny how they're selling you the dishes with a plural word and then the tapa is only two croquettes, I know this is not Spain, but you shouldn't scam people like that. The food you're cooking is not that expensive in Czech, doing those two croquettes at your house could cost less than half euro and they're charging five times more, unacceptable. There was no good tapa, I think the best option is the burger if you there, but if you're gonna go for a burger it's better if you go to any other place. I don't understand people is okay with this restaurant, you are making...

It's not hard to like this understated little spot. Enter through the hobbit sized door at 1/2 street level and find a cosy, yet unassuming bar area, which leads to a larger dining room around the corner. They have the best lunch special on the block - a two course lunch for the equivalent of $5 US with all you can drink ice tea. (the tea is pretty sweet, so I usually don't finish it)
The daily menu is written in Czech on chalkboards, but if your Czech challenged, the servers will provide a tablet with the menu in English. Wi-fi is free and there's no smoke to deal with. The lunch service is unhurried - it's a great place to catch up on a novel, have a good conversation with an old friend, or read the paper while you eat. After lunch, have a coffee while you get to the end of your chapter, or talk among...
Read moreWent to the place on a few recommendations. Table booked was really a cosy place and I was very excited when they served me my favourite cider. Service was friendly and efficient. But that is where it ended. I had the squid and salmon tapas. It was atrocious. I mentioned this to the waiting staff and the owner promptly followed up on my dissatisfaction. The point I was trying to bring across was that they should be proud of the food they serve. Both seafood dishes were completely overdone and the purees served did not compliment seafood at all. I am no expert in any food related matters and was real hungry, but this dissuaded me from ordering anything else. I was Compt for the food.. but that was not the point. Let's hope that it was not the standard way how things are handled. I was truly unhappy even how I was talked down on by the manager as I was trying to be constructive in my feedback as I want good restaurants to succeed. But this place will not...
