SOUVLAKI BAR — Restaurant in Prague

Terrible service, everything we ordered was delivered wrong!! Gyro came with no break of any kind, not even the pita it was supposed to be in. My husband requested the pita for me and after about 5 excuses why she couldnt bring it it came a few minutes before we were about to leave. My husbands meal was supposed to have grilled vegetables but she brought salad doused in dressing and said that is all we have. We ordered drinks off of their menu. Each time she would comeback and say we don't have that. we ordered apperal spritz...no, preseco...no, bottle of wine....no, but we have a carafe house dry wine, so said ok. It was 2 small tines that we poured into a glass. It put about 4 oz of super sweet wine.

Then the food...then asked for to go box because we were staying next door in an apartment with a refrigerator. She insisted on taking the plate to do it herself. After everything I of couse looked in the box. Half of the food and all of the gyro dressing were gone. I had eaten nothing because I waited on the pita the entire time. When I confronted her about the meat she said it would not fit so she threw it out and the sauce too. I kept asking for sauce to go she kept saying they could not do that which of course she finally brought me a normal little plastic container with new sauce. The meat was of course just gone. There is not even enough to make 1/2 of a gyro left. This was our last night in Prague and after a wonderful time this restaurant was just bad!!

Amazing food and a cozy atmosphere! With the very first bite, I felt like I was back on summer holidays in Greece with my parents—sea breeze in the air, sun on my face, and the scent of herbs all around. The flavors here taste like a memory. ❤️

This was actually my second visit—the first time with a friend, just curious to try the place. We left impressed. The second time? A date night. And let me tell you, it hit differently (in the best possible way). The setting, the soft lighting, the relaxed vibe… it all adds up to something really special.

Every detail just works—from the warm welcome to the music that wraps around you like a soft blanket. The atmosphere gently pulls you in and doesn’t let go… and honestly, you won’t want it to.

It’s perfect not only for food lovers, but also for anyone looking for a genuinely romantic, feel-good experience. You feel at home—but with better service and food that feels like it was made with love. 😄

And the dessert? Still a little slice of heaven on a plate.

Safe to say: I’ll definitely be coming back again...

So writing this review only about the service, and plan to give them one more chance in the future. This is the only restaurant i have ever walked out of in my entire life.

The appetizers were exceptional.

The staff on the other hand have absolutely no training or experience with service. Coming with a group of 8 we were ignored for almost 45 minutes after placing orders for drinks and appetizers. Empty dirty plates, empty drinks, absolutely no one coming to ask if we need anything else. Eventually we had to complain and ask for the check to leave as everyone was getting impatient and wanted drinks.

The owner was very nice trying to fix the problem but in the end it was a bit too late.

Will give them another try in the future to see if they fixed things as the food that we did have...
