I was looking for a Czech restaurant. This place disappointed me greatly. Felt like I scared myself and was scared at the same time. This place is lonely. Felt like a ghost town honestly. Starting with the waiter, he wasn't friendly at all, he felt fed up talking to me. Then there came the darkness of the place too which made it more grim. When you enter this place, it's like you are back in the medical days. Nothing has changed at all. Nonetheless, this brings me to the food. I should have ran out the moment I saw self-service shelves like those in sub-way. I asked the man if they use the microwave, he said yes and some other words. I took it as though he didn't understand what I meant. They warm the food in this restaurant. Whoever goes to this place, they will warm your food. They won't cook it. My chicken bone was warmed up. The food arrived cold and it was obvious that the duck had been on a forced diet. The duck was truly awful. I paid 400 kc for the dish. 😤😤😤
To add insult to injury, the beer was under-measured (short) and it was not cold
The garden overlooking the Vltava river and the Charles Bridge was actually a street backing onto the restaurant rear door with graffiti daubed all over the wall.
Ok, the suits of armour and other furnishings were passable and looked good, albeit in a fake fashion. But the food was dreadful.
The only thing going for this restaurant was the fact that it was so close to the 'karlov most'...

Read moreFood was abysmal. It was overpriced and most obviously microwaved. Me and my partner had come into this restaurant as we were very hungry and cold and had not done any research, regretfully. Service was decent but not spectacular, but only minutes after our orders were placed we had heard the microwave be used 4 times as we were the only people in the restaurant at this time. We received our food 10 minutes after ordering and it tasted no better than an overly salty ready meal. This was extremely disappointing. My partner and I could not help ourselves by laugh from how pitiful the food was, but then grew frustrated as we knew we would have to pay a substantial amount for what I would describe is a supermarket frozen meal. This restaurant feels like a tourist trap and I would avoid it...
