A little gem by the Charles Bridge. Small hotel viewing both the bridge and Castle, it’s located by the river and is close to all attractions. You don’t need public transportation because most attractions are within walking distance.

The rooms are clean and spacious, even though a little outdated. However, the bathrooms are renovated and shiny. The air conditioning is a must when you travel during hot months, because you don’t want to open your windows at night. It’s a tourist area so can be noisy both at night and in the morning.

The price includes breakfast that is simple but can satisfy anyone. Various meats and cheeses, omelettes, pastries, yogurts and some fruits. The coffees and teas are available 24/7 and the service is outstanding. Everybody speaks English and available for help. I would definitely stay...

Čertovka je krátký vltavský kanál, který se nachází v Praze na Malé Straně a odděluje ostrov nazývaný Kampa od zbytku Malé Strany. Napájena je několik set metrů dlouhou štolou, která přivádí vodu z horní části Smíchovského zdymadla nad mostem Legií.Čertovka po 740 metrech za Karlovým mostem opět vtéká do Vltavy. Byla upravena ve středověku malostranskými johanity pro regulaci průtoku vody pro mlýny, které se do současnosti dochovaly v počtu tří. Zachováno zůstalo i dřevěné kolo u Velkopřevorského mlýna a řada mostků přes Čertovku. Pro charakter Čertovky vedoucí mezi městskými domy se tomuto území přezdívá také Pražské Benátky. Vodní tok v těchto místech totiž těsně navazuje na městskou zástavbu a vytváří tak romantické městské prostředí podobné italským Benátkám.bV blízkosti Čertovky se nachází například Lennonova zeď nebo Muzeum Karla Zemana, velkého českého režiséra. Zároveň toto pražské zákoutí posloužilo jako kulisa v mnoha filmech například v Osudech dobrého vojáka Švejka.

Čertovka ist ein kurzer Vltava-Kanal, der sich in der Prager Kleinseite befindet und die Insel Kampa vom Rest der Kleinseite trennt. Sie wird von einem mehrere hundert Meter langen Stollen gespeist, der das Wasser aus dem oberen Teil der Smíchov-Schleuse oberhalb der Legia-Brücke heranführt, und nach 740 Metern hinter der Karlsbrücke mündet die Čertovka wieder in die Moldau. The restaurant itself is in a great location. But the service is terrible! We went there with my family, and I asked one of the waiters if we could stay just for drinks. He said, 'No problem,' and he showed us a table for five. Then another waiter came, and he was so upset that we didn't want to have lunch; he was very rude. He threw the menus on the table, rolled his eyes many times, and even made a face when we placed our order. Then I kindly asked if there was a problem, and he pretended he didn't understand. He was so rude to my whole family and the entire restaurant. We saw him behaving the same way with lots of customers for no reason
