Spent 7 days in Prague. This was indeed the best food we had and our only disappointment was that we only tried it on the last day of our trip. Had we gone earlier this would have been a daily place to eat!

Amazing well cooked steak and the Jalapeno fries was just out of this world. I have never tasted fries that amazing. The chicken is so well marinated and tender and potatoes were melt in your mouth good! The chef/cook of this place deserves credit!

Beer was fresh and poured by a friendly bartender and served by a firm but attentive waitress.

Service was good but there was a slight waiting time for the food but the wait was well worth it. Cleaned up our food and left the place amazed with the quality of the food and overall experience.

If you're visiting Prague's main tourist area, this place should be...

Nice bar atmosphere place in historic old town just off the square. Prices are tourist level but at least slightly lower than places right on the square. Food was lighter fare nice to have some non fried options done well. The risotto in particular was done spot on. The chicken dish was moist with some delicious crispy potatoes. Beers had good head, cold and served quickly. Service was ultra brusk even for Prague especially since they were not busy when we were dining. Despite being called the hockey bench there was no real theme that came to mind, just ample wooden chairs and benches with brick walls. Apparently it's owned by two hockey players but don't expect a sports bar or any memorabilia. In fact other than a nice view of the back of the Church there isn't much memorable or photo worthy...

The "Honest Guide" recommended we come here - we are disappointed he did. Service and atmosphere are fine, but the food is simple and uninspired, we were really hoping and looking forward to experiencing nice Czech food. They don't even give you sides with the dish, you have to pay extra for those. Extra for potatoes with your meat that you just ordered 400+Kć for. My partner and I travel a lot and food is usually one of our biggest highlights. Here, unfortunately, with the other restaurants we tried, it was not. The best thing we had was onion soup and that was just basically a few ingredients. For what we paid, we expected A LOT more.

They fed us and they were nice, so we are grateful but honestly, we won't be coming back.

"Honest guide"...

To be fair, the review goes mostly for the best beef tartar i ever had. It was delicious. The bread was amazing and the garlic was so good. Very tasty. Unfortunately, my supposed ribeye steak didn't look anything like a rib eye steak. It looked like a flanksteak. Maybe there was a confusion since my girlfriend got the flank steak and hers looked thicker. They were both decent but maybe slightly overpriced. Roast potatoes were okay but the roasted veggies were a bit of a letdown being also mostly filled with potatoes and a bit blanf tasting. Would definitely come again for that tartar. The place was cozy and atmosphere was nice.
