Aoc — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Worst Michelin dining experience! See attached videos and photo for evidence (proceed with caution) I really wanted to like this place. It was our first night in Copenhagen, but a series of unfortunate event made me doubt that AOC really is a Michelin starred restaurant.

The female waitress with an attitude: there was a fly flying around our table, and I informed her. She said there is nothing they can do about the fly. The fly chose to fly wherever it wanted. She “graciously” offered to re-pour another glass of wine, given the fly was in my glass. She later claimed again that I’ve already repoured the glass of wine for you. WOW, how gracious of her. Like I asked the fly to stop in my wine, so I can get a second glass??! Rude, just plain rude!

There continued to be multiple flies flying around. To this point, I’m disgusted. I mentioned to her I am concerned with the sanity issues. Guess what? Instead of doing anything about the food, she offered to call us a cab on the way back.

The turnaround time was fast and smooth in the first 7 dishes. As the restaurant filled up, and with two main servers it quickly went out of control. It started to take 30 min in between dishes. At the end, we told them to skip the last 4 courses. We just had enough of it.

What in the world. When the bill came, I paid the full price. Not that I’m expected to not pay for the meal, I am just genuinely surprised that a Michelins-started restaurant could have such horrendous service. They were proud for serving in an environment with...

Fabulous ambience, well spaced tables, phenomenal food and an extensive wine list. Amazing service to top it off makes for an evening to remember.

Four of us had dinner here and they prepared a 19 course vegetarian meal for three of us and all the courses were following the exact same concept with some substitution for allergies etc.

Each course was amazing and I liked all but one course of the entire evening. Kitchen staff were on hand to serve each and every course and our waitress for the evening was excellent, attentive and on the ball. She was also very engaging and knew a lot about the food and wine.

This restaurant deserves three stars in my opinion and delivers amazing flavors with amazing presentation. In terms of the end of the meal it would have been nice to have some sweeter things like petit fours to cap off a cold winter night. Besides that it was a fabulous evening.

Wine list is expensive, but then again, alcohol is expensive in Scandinavia. The choice was good and some of the wine was reasonably priced.

My favorite course of the evening was the langoustine followed by the onion :-) happily come here again anytime. It’s world class food and...

Horrible customer service!

On January 10, we’ve made online reservations for 2 at the AOC restaurant. We payed the 1000dkk per person, as a guarantee and received a confirmation. Unfortunately, we had a change of plans and had to cancel our reservation. Because of the policy, we could do that and receive a full refund (we still had few months before the event). We sent a request to the restaurant and the team sent us a confirmation of the cancellation and informed us that we will receive the refund. We waited… after two weeks, no refund came… We contacted the restaurant team and after checking they informed us that because of the credit card policy the refund will be given only after 1 month. We waited… after one month, no refund came… We tried to contact the restaurant, but now they were ignoring us and not even responding. We contacted the credit company, who tried to contact the restaurant, but no response… Now it is May, still no response from the restaurant and no refund on the credit card…

Horrible experience, will never consider...
