Bar Deco — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Place: Small area in general, the personnel was trying to fit as many people as possible cramming many people in small tables. It was totally uncomfortable... Also, the bar was way too noisy for a "chill bar". Cocktails: Totally diluted, without a hint of alcohol/spirit included in them. They tasted boring that reached the level of "undrinkable" in many of the cocktails I tried. I was clearly disappointed in that respect! The bartenders seemed to be a bit clueless as to what they were making... Also, FYI the available drinks were different from their website's menu. Personnel: Seemed lost in the place, they were not really accommodating, with extended delays when we ask to bring us water or drinks. Overall: not really recommended, unless you want to get some mediocre cocktails for 130kr. while being squeezed in...

Really fun and creative cocktails!

We stopped in for a few drinks at Bar Deco after reading good things about the cocktail menu and design online and we were not dissapointed. The current menu was "What If?" featuring classic cocktails with a key ingredient missing. Between 3 of us, we tried a number of cocktails including the grasshopper, pornstar martini, clover club, whiskey sour, bramble, and the N/A raspberry. All of the drinks had some unique flavors due to the ingredient switch, but worked well to give you a fantastic experience. My favorite was actually the grasshopper. The cream was removed but the fat washing gave it a nice mouthfeel and the mint and chartreuse flavors worked super well together.

I would love to return when visiting Copenhagen again to see what their creativity brings to...

We went here for a cocktail after dinner. We ordered a Vieux Carré and a classic Paloma with Mezcal instead of tequila. The former was nicely balanced, while the latter was too watery. It tasted more like a soda with a slight hint of smoke. One of the bartenders came down and asked if everything was ok. I told him that I thought the balance was a bit off with the Paloma. He told me that they use 4CL of alcohol and "thats just how it is". I thought that perhaps he would suggest we could do something about it. But he just said that and stood there like the shrug emoji embodied.

I mean. Why even bother asking if everything is ok, if you won't do anything when told the cocktail is simply off. You could have suggested adding more alcohol. Id be more than happy to pay for it.
