If you eat here, you have to follow very closely what you order. We got the wrong maki roll, which we realised a bit later, because it was similar to another. It turned out the waiter ordered extra for us, so we cancelled the last maki roll as we were full. The waiter said ok, but then the manager came with it and obliged us to pay for it, and “now it’s made”. He said “just take it with you”. On top of it, we had ordered through The Fork with a 20% rebate, but he didn’t accept that either. He said it was the wrong date, even though we had it black on white 20% off the A la carte menu. We had chosen this place to celebrate our wedding day, but ended being patronised by the owner, and left with a sour feeling. He really should stay in the kitchen and let his waiters do the service, they are polite and respectful. The lobsternwas good, but the rolls are too big with too much rice. It is thought fusion food, so I shouldn’t compare to fine japanese dining... but with price you pay, avoid the maki. Very disappointing, though your experience might be different.
UPDATE - answer to Damindra's response First of all, there are 6 negative reviews on different platforms. Which is normal to do. We customers read and comment on services on different platform. Second of all, we never got an apology for your behaviour and bad service. We are still not getting an apology, but rather an excuse for the problem that you are not taking responsibility for. The platform The Fork might have made a mistake. But you are also responsible for your mistakes. Secondly, the free maki was your mistake, because you brought us the wrong dish! We never ordered that maki. The drinks were also your doing, because my husband wanted a rum & coke, which you the manager thought was a weird thing to order, so you insisted on making him a drink - we said nothing sour as the cocktails in the menu were on the sour side. But you still brought a yuzu drink and wasn't happy when he didn't want to drink it (Yuzu is a citrus fruit fyi, so of course it's sour). I drank mine, but not his, and there is only so much I can drink.
So all in all, it's your patronising attitude that ruined our first wedding night. Not the mistake with The Fork. The way you explained us that The Fork deal wasn't eligible was also patronising, making us feel bad that we tried to cheat you with a discount.
No amount of free stuff from you will make up our bad experience. You have tried to contact us on several occasions after we wrote our review, almost on the verge of being stalked. My husband and I had to send in our receipt and detail the experience to several platform, because you flagged our review as unreliable or fake, so we had to prove it was real.
Please accept that your attitude is the problem here. We are the ones who have paid 1000dkk for a bad experience. The irony here is that if you had given us the 10% discount as we were promised through The Fork - instead of trying to make drinks on the house that we didn't ask for, or making sure our order was served correctly - it would have been a nice experience for us at the same cost for you, with...

Read moreSimply delightful lunch and dinner experiences there. The head chef was extremely well versed in various condiment preparations, his preservation techniques were especially notable; complex preserved cod, aged tofu, fermented sesame are but a few to name. Each course was very imaginative Japanese fusion cuisine and explosive in flavour; it also expresses how much they really care about the ingredients and components in all their creations. I was pleasantly surprises by their new interpretations of traditional Japanese dishes.
In addition to that, the head chef is extremely kind and thoughtful. After returning there the second time for lunch, I mentioned that my partner just recovered from sickness, and he tailored the course meal for him who had not been eating well for two days. He was very impressed, touched, and most of all, 'fulfilled'—since he could not stomach to eat anything at all before that.
I think instead of a long description of every single course, I suggest you give the amazing and creative meals...
