Don't forget to make a reservation as this place is CROWDED! We did not know that so we ended up waiting for few minutes. We did not mind the waiting but I think the staff should manage the queue. Go out, ask people how many they are, inform them about approximate waiting time, give the impression that you care about all of them, not just the people with bookings.
I also really liked the space but maybe loose a table or two? There is too many of them and they are small. We did not have space for two plates on the small round table and people had hard time walking around.
Food was super delicious. I would welcome more sweet options on the menu but the savoury selection was great and the flavour combinations were epic. The granola I had was just delicious, the yogurt was super nice and creamy! One of the best granolas I ever had.
I also really really liked that nobody tried to tell us "hurry up, there are people with bookings and a queue outside". You could feel the place is busy but nobody was rushing the bill on our table after we finished or asked "do you want anything else" multiple times. Professional in this way.
The only thing. Guys. Please. Loos the plastic straws. So many...
Read moreA beautiful cafe with intimidated sitting…. We chose to go to Union Kitchen for Breakfast due to their menu and choices they had…It was busy even @8:15 and once you have their food, you will know why this place is so popular…
As we are Lacto-Vegetarian, we ordered Sweetcorn fitters with Hallomi Cheese and Falafal Salad with chilli hummus… we were quite surprised to see fitters and falafal as Breakfast options but still went ahead with jt… Didn’t regret…. Hallomi cheese was perfectly grilled and it’s dry taste was balancing Cron fritter as they were fried. It was topped with Washed spinach and avocado combination and was quite filling.. As usual falafel came with hummus but the twist was its mild chilli ness.. good portion of salad. As Copenhagen is 2nd happiest city , the messages which was on coffee was very impressive (I have added ours, other customers had different punch words)
We were attended by Cecillia, with a lovely smile. We had our city tour booked at 10 so when requested, we got our breakfast like in 15 min of offsetting … quite efficient… If you are staying in city centre in Copenhagen, I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast … they have quite a good...
Read moreLast night at The Union Kitchen in Copenhagen, felt like catching up with old friends over small plates. The interior feels both cosy and quietly elegant, with warm lighting and tasteful décor that never feels over the top.
Our server suggested about three dishes per person, and that turned out to be spot-on. • Pesto Pasta: al dente ribbons of tagliatelle in a fresh, garlicky green sauce. • Burrata with Peas: creamy cheese with sweet peas and a drizzle of olive oil. • Garlic Bread: warm, pillowy slices lathered in butter and herbs. • Arancini: two golden rice balls, crunchy outside, oozy cheese inside. • Thai-Style Pork Meatballs (3 pieces): lightly spiced, tangy sauce, perfect balance of sweet and heat. • Classic Beef Meatballs (3 pieces): rich meat, simple tomato base, a sprinkle of ricotta. • Sweet Potato (“Batata”): crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside wedges seasoned with sea salt—an addictive side.
Portions are definitely on the smaller side—three meatballs per order—so plan to add an extra plate or two if you’re really hungry. Still, the variety keeps things fun and conversational. We had a lovely dinner, I highly recommend...
