I was in my government vehicle with two other service members in uniform (this is important for later). There were two drive thru lanes. A truck pulled into the left and I into the right lane. I finished my order and was told to pull forward by the worker (the truck was not yet thru ordering). A worker in the other lane yells at me “Was this truck here before you?! So what made you think you can just cut in front of him?!” I replied that his coworker told me to pull forward. He made a gesture with his hand and said “have a good day” in a super condescending tone. I pulled up to the window and my supervisor immediately asked to talk to a manager. The worker did not know who the manager was for that day and could not provide a name for a manager so they got another worker who happened to be more experienced. She also could not give a manager’s name or a phone number to someone higher to file this complaint. He (my supervisor) explained our situation and she offered no apology or reason for this and claimed she could not provide the employee’s name, he had long dread locks, a light complexion and a pink sweatshirt on. The hostility seemed to be directed at us because we were military personnel. There’s no reasonable explanation for his outburst. At least I hope this company doesn’t encourage their employees to blow up at customers. The fact that none of the employees knew who their manager was (or were playing coy about it) is another huge red flag for this. I’m going to be obnoxious about this and request a response from corporate before I escalate my complaint. Just to add insult to injury, like many of the reviews on google for this location, the drinks were very diluted. I’m genuinely upset that I even spent money at this...
Read moreTHIS DUTCH BROS IS IN A BAD LOCATION AND WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
The drive through has been backed up more than once, I once drove by, and I noticed a lot of cars were stopped at this location. Heading south on NE Martin Luther king Jr Blvd. The cars in the drive through are stopped in the left most lane of the road and even back up into the middle of the intersection. So, drivers in the left most lane then have to stop the flow of traffic and try to merge in the right lane disrupting the flow of traffic and causing a safety risk because it only takes 1 bad driver not paying attention to vehicles attempting to merge or vehicles not noticing cars in the right lane. Drivers also need to use the left lane to go on to the highway, so the issue then compounds itself with a large amount going in the left lane and not being able to go without stopping then switching lanes and then switching lanes again effectively cutting off 2 lanes of traffic. As well as idiots sitting in an intersection, so we also have the east west bound traffic getting stopped for someone's need for caffeine.
as for Dutch bros itself the coffee is overpriced and small portion sizes. An iced drink is 75% ice and 25% drink and if you dare ask for no ice you will get the biggest side eye. I don't think they would even be in business if not for young attractive people only working there, or for them having to pretend to care about how your day is going, peak American culture of fake...
Read moreStaff was getting so confused just because of my accent. They gave me the wrong drink. I ordered an infused tea. They sure got that because they asked if I wanted it green or black, but they gave me the wrong drink. Finally one of the guys goes: I like your accent? Where are you from? I mean, where are you originally from? I'm an American citizen with an accent and I'm so annoyed by being asked where I'm i originally from, all the times! People don't accept: “I'm from here”. It feels like an invasion of your privacy. Accents trigger xenophobic reactions. Just because I have an accent, you don't have the right to satisfy your curiosity. If you think you are, then you just think I'm inferior because I have an accent, so its ok to invade my privacy even if you don't even know me. Guessing the nationality is as bad as asking “where are you from?”. Treathing someone as rude, just because they say: “I'm from here” or they don't want to answer, is even worse. Just accept the answer! If you don't accept that I'm from here, its just because you see me as an outsider because of my accent. Therefore, you are affected by xenophobia. I like Dutch Bros, but they need to teach their employees about xenophobia. Customer service doesn't go well with minding...
