Be very aware of the prices here. It is astonishingly expensive and very much a tourist trap for those just coming off the boats or new hotel arrivals. A cappuccino with the tax and service charge will set you back 227 EGP. As a comparison a cappuccino at the Aracan hotel which is a stones throw away is 90 EGP, it’s a very good cappuccino too as you’d expect from a good hotel, and bear in mind this 90 EGP is already marked up from many others, so just think how much 227 EGP is marked up. This is just one illustration of the extraordinary prices being offered.
You get the sunset all down the river front so this place doesn’t offer anything unique.
So disappointing a place looks to exploit tourist to this degree. I’ve visited Luxor 3 times and many other Egyptian towns so have a good understanding of what’s fair.
The prices are clearly displayed and you can make your own choice whether to visit. But remember, like a few tourist establishments (not all) there’ll fleece the unwitting. Plenty of other reasonably priced places nearby so perhaps...
Read moreThis is such a gem of a place. It’s right on the Nile with stunning views over to the Valley of The Kings which is lit up beautifully at night. The restaurant is stunning with a really warm welcome from the staff. The food was great, especially the different Egyptian Experience menus that you can choose from. We had the Molokheya Grilled Chicken set menu with a side of stuffed vine leaves and some baba ganoush, it was all delicious and really reasonably priced. If you’re in Luxor I really recommend a visit to this place. If you don’t want food there’s a really nice drinks area too, although I think the restaurant is dry in keeping with most of Luxor. We’ll be back if we...
Read moreWe came to this resturant on our first night in Luxor and we loved it.
Honestly, the atmosphere, the view, the music, staff, food… All is super! We had a wonderful time with amazing Om Kalthoum music enjoying the nile..
Ordered one Molokeya Platter and one Shish Tawook platter. The food was plenty and super good. The price is very honest as well. By the time we ate we were so full and still had desert (which is included in the platters.
Coffee also was very rich and aromatic as we enjoyed an espresso after dinner.
They also have free wifi in case someone wants to sit and work. Plus so many different seating options.
Definitely...
