Café & Confectionery Briossi — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

The glazed brioche bun is so tasty, no complaints about the food. Affordable compared to e.g. Fazer. The location would be incredible but the atmosphere and interior decoration of the place isn't cozy and warm. The windows are so beautiful but the light in the space is cold and industrial, the tables are ugly, the different pieces in the space do not create a cohesive, inviting atmosphere. Odd metal railing in the middle of the space. Could be so much nicer with a bit more thought put into how the space feels and looks rather than just how...

Visited for the first time yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ordered a chicken caesar salad, which arrived quickly and was delicious. It also came with a free freshly baked roll that was flavoured with chili - it was great. There are other flavours including beetroot + olive/pepper! There's the option to dine inside or out on the terrace - watch out for the gulls! One final note: I adored the music choices 🎶

I must add that the dessert/baked selection is particularly dangerous to anybody trying to watch...

Let me make one thing clear: love it, love it and love it. Used to visit here few times a week around 2013-2014. It was a fresh companionship in the middle of soulless cafes and restaurants. Simple, cosy interior. Few free magazines (mostly in Finnish) available. Pastries from own bakery. Yummy yummy...
