La Libera Restaurant — Restaurant in Grasse

Almost a comedically poor level of service. I almost feel bad writing this review because the optimist in me wants to believe this was an off night. I have faith that other nights and for other people the experience could be better. Nevertheless my experience was dismal. It was Sunday evening and Libera was full because it's Sunday and covid and 80% of the other restaurants were closed. We did indeed see a celebrity Mohamed Hadid eat his dinner , and in fact I specifically I saw him come in later, eat and finish before me and every other table around us. So the fact that there was a celebrity did not add to my eating pleasure and definitely detracted from it. And let me specify that absolutely every other table around me also had an issue. From having to ask for the menu to 3 different servers, to the food taking 45 min for each course for an entree of buratta and a main of pasta, and of course the check for which by then I had given up and simply stood up to go and take myself. Honestly, I will never go back. It's a shame because The food was perfectly fine but with such predictably terrible service I would rather go to Casino and get some melon and jambon. Because the food was honestly good, I will give 2 stars. But seriously get it together...

I don’t know what’s the name of this pasta cuz it was recommended by a French friend but the pasta itself was fresh and it’s sauce which is the most important thing for a pasta in my opinion , was so tasty and the amount of spices was really good . However the Beef/Veal schnitzel was not bad but I’d personal prefer a menu with more meat/chicken options or even as a side for a pasta . I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were rude and dismissive from the start, which made us feel unwelcome. To make matters worse, my friend explained she is coeliac and was brushed off with no real care or accommodation for her dietary needs. The food itself was awful – my sea bass was supposed to come with seasonal vegetables, but instead I got a two shavings of carrots and mostly cabbage. Overall, poor service and poor food.
