I came to this restaurant with a student travel tour of 78 middle school students, their parents, and their chaperones. I have a bell pepper allergy (capsaicin) that I made my tour director aware of which she always forwards to the restaurant before we even arrive. So I am served my prix fixe meal which was some kind of stewed meat, gratin potatoes and a mixed vegetable medley. The meat was tender but tasteless, 2 of my potatoes were burnt, and sure enough there were red peppers on my plate! When I told my tour guide she called the head waiter over who not only had the nerve to dismiss me, but also stated that there were no peppers. I showed my tour director my plate, she confirmed it was indeed a pepper. The head waiter then grabs my plate and switches it with another plate that was being served and dismisses as if my allergy was just me being overdramatic. What angered me the most was the dismissiveness and the inability/desire to make things right. Coffee restricts the blood vessels when drank and I got some relief (due to my inability to breathe and swollen tongue) so my tour director ordered me one. I drank it and then the staff proceeded to ask each other if I had paid for it! I laughed and had to leave In an afterthought, I was thinking that them being apologetic and offering anything else (aka a coffee) would’ve been an excellent 5€ investment considering the business they will lose now. DO NOT RECOMMEND especially if you have any...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner here last week. We'd eaten here several years ago and really enjoyed it. This time, not so much. We would've loved to eat outdoors to enjoy the view of Notre Dame, but opted to dine inside, as we don't like cigarette smoke. The interior left much to be desired, though with some work it could really be quaint. It was very dusty and had a ton of dusty nicnacks everywhere. The huge chandelier was covered in layers of dust, most light bulbs were out, and it was missing a bunch of bulbs. The waiter was nice, but he forgot to bring me my wine so I had to politely ask for it again. My husband and I shared a pizza. It was just ok, not nearly as good as other pizzas we've had over the years in Paris. We also split a salad, and while it was fresh, the dressing (there was hardly any on it) had no flavor. A first for us, as Paris always has the best salads and vinaigrettes. We were pretty disappointed with our experience and would not recommend...
Read moreOverall a bad experience, we went in with a tour group and they seated us in a cellar next to the actual restaurant. It was a cold day and there was no heating, we had to ask an employee to turn on some heat, they turned on a big propane flame heater that I’m pretty sure shouldn’t have been ran inside because of fumes. Our dishes were dirty, my mom’s glass had shrivel up lettuce and lemon seeds stuck to the bottom. When we received our food it was cold (some members had lukewarm rice at best), and it was not a meal that should be served cold - chicken, gravy and rice. A couple people of the group ate some of the meal, most of which were sick the next day. When the waiters came to collect our meals they were kind of rude about the fact that some of us didn’t eat our food. You may get better service if you are a small group and get seated in the main restaurant, but this is our experience and based on this I would...
