Waited in a que to get in 45 minutes. Expecting food to be good. I was way wrong in this assumption. Despicable food was served to me. Obviously food not consistent which is so important to any restaurant. I ordered the croissant sandwich (person next to me was eating and politely told me what it was and looked divine fluffy hot and fresh!) What i was served was a flattened burnt croissant with COLD EGGS & a salad that had a rock hard Brussel sprout and weird other unsavory and chopped up vegetable that wax not a breakfast or edible. So i sent croissant back and waiter should never of served it to me in the first place. Waited 8 minutes and was returned same unappetizing plate with same croissant(just burnt part scrapped off) now hard cold eggs! So they said they would make a fresh one¿¿ well again i was served a smashed croissant and cold eggs with unmelted cheese. So now i said i will pay for my tea but i can not eat here. Explaining to them the man next to me had a beautiful croissant breakfast sandwich, and that why i ordered it in the first place. The staff was sweet and did not charge me. I just wish i would of received a yummy breakfast. Sadly after almost 2 hours i walked away starving! 2 stars are for not charging me for a sad sunday...

Qualifying this review with the following—-

I/We LOVE France, specifically Paris and all the Parisian people. As Americans who travel to Paris often, 99 times out of 100 we receive amazing service from passionate and thoughtful Parisians.

Sadly, BAGUETT’S CAFE is the 1 out of 100 that breaks our faith and further perpetuates the negative stereotype of BAD service in Paris/France.

Rude staff, bad attitudes, and an abject failure to do the right thing/make it right. When we ordered 2 mimosas, €28 total, the server proceeded to pull out an old bottle of Prosecco(Prosecco in Paris?? Really?? But that’s beside the point). I saw this as she was tasting it to see if it met HER expectations for what is fresh, and I asked her to use a fresh bottle. She proceeded to make our mimosas with the old bottle, served it to us, and sadly it didn’t meet our expectations (as expected with an old bottle of cheap Prosecco left out over night).

The staff then proceeded to make us feel uncomfortable, making a scene in front of the entire restaurant. It was an unfortunate situation…

TO THE OWNERSHIP/MANAGEMENT OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT—— train your staff… do the right thing, and take care of your customers (regardless of where they’re from).

You were the...

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was kind of crazy. I ordered les pancakes sucrés with organic maple syrup, with the maple syrup on the side. The pancakes came quickly, but without the syrup. I tried them plain, but they were extremely dry, so I asked the waiter to bring me the syrup (which, of course, I had already ordered). I waited for about 5 minutes, and he said that the chef was “making another syrup” (what?). I waited for at least another 10 minutes, before the server handed me a small cup of clear liquid, which apparently was the syrup. It was literally just boiled sugar and water— not the “organic maple syrup” as marked on the menu. I work in the food industry, and I understand that sometimes things run out and you have to improvise. However, the team should have said that they were out of maple syrup, charged less, and at least should have brought out the “syrup” with the pancakes while they were still hot (they were ice cold by the time I got the “syrup”). Aside from that, the pancakes were extremely dry and the coffee was not good. The scrambled eggs were ok and the smoked salmon was standard. I get it’s tough to provide good service when you’re busy, but...

Experience Paris like a local and uncover the hidden gems that tourists often miss! 💃🏻 1. Soak Up the Sun 🌞 The French have an undeniable love for sunshine and beaches. In the summer, wherever there's a coastline in Europe, you'll find French people packed like sardines. The artificial beaches along the Seine are always bustling, and those who can't snag a spot head to the parks. ⛲️ A bottle of wine, a piece of cheese, and a book are the essentials for a French picnic in the park. For visitors, consider grabbing a Mont Blanc pastry from Angelina, then lounging in the Jardin des Tuileries or sprawling on the grass at Champ-de-Mars while gazing at the Eiffel Tower. 📍Jardin des Tuileries; Jardin du Luxembourg; Champ-de-Mars; or any other grassy spot. 2. Wander the Streets Shun the tourist-packed attractions and aimlessly stroll through Paris's streets—this is my favorite way to experience the city. You might stumble upon a delightful pastry shop or a charming street, where you can while away the hours. 📍1- Passage Lhomme 2- Pigalle Basketball 3- Rue Cremieux 4- Au vieux Paris d’Arcole 5- Le mur des je t’aime 6- Rue du Calvaire 3. Indulge in Brunch 🍽 Waking up naturally and enjoying a leisurely brunch—what better epitomizes the Parisian pace? I tried two brunch spots this time, neither overly trendy but both simple yet thoughtfully designed, and both highly recommended. 📍1- Baguett’s Café. 2- Strada café 4. Follow in the Footsteps of "Midnight in Paris" Along the Seine 🗼 📍From Avenue de New York to Quai des Tuileries
