We visited Chez Savy as a party of three and had a really enjoyable evening. We only waited about five minutes for a table, though I’d definitely recommend pre-booking as it fills up quickly. The duck pâté starter was absolutely delicious, we ended up asking for a second serving because it was that good. For mains, I had the steak which was slightly underdone for my medium preference, but still tender and flavorful. The wine selection was very good and paired nicely with the dishes. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a Parisian bistro, cozy, lively, and authentically French without the usual touristy feel. Service was efficient, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet well looked after. A solid 4-star spot for classic French dining in Paris. Highly recommend for those wanting a traditional bistro experience.

On Thursday evening November 28th I had my first dinner at this traditional French bistrot with a colleague. Can you believe that this place is existing since 1923! We had a warm welcome and got a nice table. The set up of the bistrot looks like a train wagon, with space for luggage on the walls. We started off with the most delicious foie gras I ever had in my life with a matching glass of white wine. As a main course we both tried the Épaule d’agneau (lamb shoulder) Savy style (the speciality of the house) with a perfectly matching red wine: Saint Emilion. Such a tender meat. Fantastic! As a desert we shared a crème brûlée. Excellent experience and great service by Mr. Alex!

You need to reserve a table and you can do it online easily. The waiter was nice and funny and he could speak English well. They brought baguette and the special savy to start which was good. We ordered egg and mayonnaise since they are famous for their mayonnaise sauce and it was really good. The bone was another starter we ordered which it was huge and ok. We went for steak for main course and we shared it and it was enough for two. I recommend this place and the price for two appetizers and one main course was 67.50 euros.

After not being able to get a table on Friday evening because the restaurant was full and we didn’t have a reservation, we decided to make a reservation for Monday midday before we left to return to Palma de Mallorca. What a great decision!!! This turned out to be our best dinner in Paris on this trip. We loved the ambience of the 101 year old restaurant… warm and inviting. The service was impeccably attentive and special. For wine, we went with a well-balanced house Bordeaux from Saint-Emilion (in my opinion you rarely go wrong with a wine from this region). The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. For starters we shared a foie gras terrine and escargot. Both were great. For our entrees we had medallions of duck and the house lamb special. Both dishes, in their own delicious sauces, were perfect and wonderfully prepared, including the creamy mashed potatoes. Both were sumptuously delicious. To top the dinner, we opted for the rice pudding dessert…. Wow!!! Yummy!!! 😋 All in all, a very satisfying experience. We’re already looking forward...
